I really don't get people's complains about the train going backwards. Do you not have train tracks near where you live? Because trains basically go backwards 50% of the time unless you swap or rotate the locomotives.

Honestly, out of all the things to complain about I don't see HE going backwards as an issue...At least not in a world where Shrek 4-D continues to operate

What are the usual wait times for gringots. I'm going the last weekend in February. I just want to what to expect.

Likely in the 30 minute range. If there's downtime it will spike. It reached 75 minutes on the first day of Mardi Gras but there was some downtime.

Highest I saw was 110 minutes but it looked to be very busy at the parks overall, with Transformers at 90, Rip Ride Rockit at 60, etc.

Bummer news: the Leaky Cauldron sign on the muggle London facade doesn't appear as you walk close now. It's just a stagnant sign that's already visible. A team member told me it was a WB decision. I don't buy it. I'm ready to write letters over this perfect subtle effect being gone.

Seth @skubersky just posted this on twitter. I had never seen the prop used before and his post stated that it is out of the show often.

It was working in September when I was there. I believe it was added and functional shortly after the soft openings began. It is down frequently, the mechanism that moves the lid is underpowered.

And I think I know why. The steam between the cars is no longer coming from the cars. I just watched a video taken moments ago, and the steam appears to be coming from under the lip of the platform in Kings Cross and blasted in between. So, the cars weren't redone with new plumbing. Clever girl!

Evidently, they have not done Hogmeade station yet.

I never realized the steam even came from the cars. After knowing how Everest's train steam (sometimes) works, I always just assumed HE's came from the track too.

Just a note to remind everyone that all of the UC and UOR bigwigs are in Anaheim to accept the THEA Paragon award for Wizarding World - Diagon Alley tomorrow night. A few of them have appeared on a panel at the event to discuss the project. It appears that Aiello was either added or has replaced someone on the panel as he is there as well.

A good quick read:

Quite impressive. The fact the Paragon Award was created specifically for the total immersion associated Diagon/HE land, buildings, attractions, retail, show etc. speaks volumes of the groundbreaking aspect of this endeavor....Bravo, Universal!!!
