I kid you not the wait time did rise to 4 hours (the longest recorded wait time for the attraction ever), but some guests waited five hours.

I can't wrap my mind around why anyone would want to stay in line that long. Ride's broken, get out and go on a different ride/go eat/buy cool Mummy shirts and come back when the problem is fixed. I get that some guests might have come specifically for Transformers, but still.

Must be the free jellybeans.

Well, if it's tourists who haven't done Transformers before, it's understandable :)

And hey, at least you get a helluva ride after waiting 4 hours. Imagine waiting in line for 4 hours to get on the Mummy. The ride is so short and is such a let down....

I would never wait 4 hours. Never. I'd just...no. Longest wait I ever did was 3 hours for JP and 3 hours for Indy, both on opening day. I count that as a special occasion. I will never again wait that long for a ride. It's just not worth that much time, as much as I love Transformers.

Like I said, since we're locals, it can't be worth it. But if you're an out of town tourist, you have no choice.

But luckily with Transformers, it's at least an amazing ride. If I was an out of towner who had to wait 4 hours to get on the Mummy, I'd be so disdisappointed.

I think it's crazy for locals to stand in those narrow passageways if they know what to expect. If you don't live near the park and Transformers was one of the main reasons for your visit, then I would understand why someone would wait. If I went to the Wizarding World in IOA (yes, I'm bringing up Potter!) and had to wait hours for FJ, I'd do it.

Good example with FJ, I'd do the same.

FJ is the only ride that I'd consider waiting 4 hours for, and only the first time.

After that it's take it or leave it.

The good thing is that guests are always pleasantly surprised by Transformers. I remember going in my first time not expecting much, and walked out with my jaw on the floor.

Me too. I went during pass previews and walked on, and left in awe. Funny story: we walked so fast thru the queue that we didn't see most of the videos. So I didn't know we were inside Evac during the ride and was wondering who the heck was talking to us during the ride. We went thru again, watching a few of the videos this time, and felt really silly for not getting it before.

Gosh I was blown away my first time. Never been on Spiderman or FJ so I was so shocked at how amazing it was. Best "first ride" experience I've had, ever! Only thing that's ever come close have been Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones. I walked off with my hair a mess and slightly sweaty my first time cuz it was such a rush. I actually recorded my first ever time which was during previews. I made sure to record myself and my reaction too, which was hilarious. Also helped that I met and talked to Mark Woodbury and entered the building with him!

I Agree all the way! Forbidden Journey is the Best Ride that Universal Ever Created! i was soo blown away with the Animatronics, Special Effects, and Especially The Queue. i definitely wait for an 4 hour wait for that ride. its worth it.  Really Tops Spiderman and Transformers. Definitely blown me away since E.T.  ;)

I find it interesting is that Transformers always seems to break down over where Devastator is. It's strange. Happened to me everytime. Lol

Devastator makes two appearances. Are you referring to the first or the second?

Second, where he sucks up the car into himself.

What a disappointing time to get stuck! First-timers always let out a scream or two during that part.

Has anyone noticed that that's the only part of the ride that the projectors seem off sync and it has been like that for quite long?? The 3D effect doesn't work there, it looks blurred

I was at the park on Friday and Transformers was down for about an hour and a half. Anyone think this will become a more frequent thing?

Well, it's still relatively a brand new ride. But I sure hope that TF doesn't break down so often.

I don't think Transformers is breaking down more often, but rather the procedures surrounding ride evacuations have changed.
