I just want to see the giga. After that, they can take a decade break from building coasters for all I care.

Magic Mountain needs to stop building coasters and focus on the operation of the park. I would actually close permanently some of the coasters to reduce the amount of labor needed and repair costs. Whatever this new one they are opening does not look exciting. Even Wonder Woman was outdated when they put it in and the 4 train operations didn't last that long. There was even video of them shipping a train out for repairs because they can't do it themselves.

While I don't think you're entirely wrong, and there's still obviously a lot of room for improvement, we also need to recognize they HAVE made a lot of improvements.

  • Torn down ticket booths
  • Created new Fright Fest Mazes
  • Improved mobile Fast Lane experience
  • Improving customer relations and interactions (while still inconsistent, it's honestly stepping up a lot more)
  • Fewer closed rides/more reliability
  • Added drink mug refill stations (they do still need more here for sure)
  • Complete refresh of the entire Hurricane Harbor park
  • Solar panels over parking, and working on charging stations
  • Added new bathrooms near front of park (still need to redo the ones just behind the funnel cake place, those are awful)
  • Removed gates from alcohol locations
  • Adding more park specific branded merch
  • New signage for Fastlane, and digital wait time signs and Single use Fast Lane kiosks are imminent
And in the defense of Wonder Woman, that was never intended for four train ops. The ideal would be three train ops, with one always out for refurbishment. It is disappointing that they seem to be down to two train ops, but the way they run it, I feel 3 trains would always be stacking anyway. Anyone know if it's usually 2 or 3 train ops for Jersey Devil at SFGrAd?

Socaltall Guy has pointed out that its a Joke you can't use your fast lane on X2, even Ghostrider which gets as long if not longer lines at Knotts allows you to use the fast lane on it.

I think that's more because of the current single train ops on X2. On a recent visit, they took Revolution off FastLane, even though it had a two hour line (!), and when I asked the FastLane office about it, they said it was temporarily off the Fastlane due to the single train ops. This may be a new policy, I haven't run into it before, but it does make some sense. I'd imagine if Ghostrider went down to single train ops, they would take it out of Fastlane as well.

And on a related note, I believe I heard a rumor on IG that X2 may be getting it's second train back soon, so maybe Fastlane will be returning for it soon-ish if true?

I mean thats all well and good but the money is telling us it's not enough or the right steps

The heat being insane and them not having ways to be cool for say the Hero's event make no sense to me, people are here to have fun and they don't do anything to make it bearable. The bad ops, like for me there is no excuse at this point and it affected the benefits for the hardest core fans. Why mess with the people paying you the most who want to come back?

I agree and have defended the parks since the first Heros vs Villains Fest but there is a lot that needs to be done and I think Ops and weather control need to come like now and not 2-3 years from now. I don't want this park to lose more budget and to stop that from happening they need to act sooner then later.

On the Note of cool merch, I did see them add stickers with a bunch of the coasters in the front store....thats cool and glad they are listening to guests on merch but wish they went in order of whats more important to guests and for me its just the general ops and comfort of the park in the summers/hot months.
