Any word on WHERE he’s going to appear? Will he be in the same space as Mario/Luigi when they’re not there?

Guys... respectfully... you just got Toad.

I don't really care for Toad all that much. I'm a Daisy guy, but I know if she happens at all, it's going to be long wait.

Like I said before, I feel like they'd want every character with a power-up band to have a meet-n-greet, especially with how Nintendo is pushing Daisy & Yoshi more into core cast. I think it'll happen down the line, but definitely not anytime soon.

But I do think Daisy and Yoshi are the only characters we're getting (besides Jr).

Toads M&G may have been moved to the unused doors to the right of the Gazebo. He will not be out till later this afternoon.

Yeah, looks like he's a show-only character over there. Just like how Yoshi's a parade-only character right now. Hope they both get promoted to meet-n-greetable sometime. XP

Yeah, the whole core cast thing is what I also had in mind, especially in light of SMBW. In hindsight, feels like the writing was on the wall with how they were all power up band characters. Time will tell.

I've always wondered if those doors were meant to open. Could have sworn I saw them open during construction photos.

Also, may god bless any brave souls who try to go see his debut today while there's a heat wave going on (and the actor(s?) playing Toad in addition to the usual suit guys)

Pardon the double post, but it's officially him! Looks like @Jonathan was correct.

Gotta say, this brings a smile to my face.

Edit: It seems that unlike the digital signs for the Mario Bros. and Peach, they have a physical sign specifically for Toad with the same design. Wonder if it's temporary or what they'll do going forward:

Honestly, this is pretty immersion breaking for me. If Toad's just allowed to go out and meet guests, then I find it ridiculous and - quite frankly - shameful that Universal is forcing people in Toadstool Cafe to accept having to wait for him to return to the kitchen and start cooking their food.

I'm pretty sure Chef Toad's a different Toad altogether. I mean look at the art for the land used on the bags:

Toads generally sound the same in-game, which makes me appreciate the movie's choice of giving them different voices, alongside making the Toad with the blue vest (the meetable one) the one closest to the game voice.

I'm confused, what other characters? As far as I'm aware the only character unique to Japan thus far is Bowser Jr.

USJ has Yoshi in their parade and Bowser Jr. as part of a summer-only stage show. Neither of them are meeting in the park though.
