Thankfully after 11 it sounds like the series is heading for the scrap heap where it should hopefully stay and never be rebuilt.

I'd imagine Universal is excited to keep pushing this franchise into a post-Vin future.

I know Fast X was trash and we're all bored with it. I personally was a huge fast fan, saw every one of these things opening weekend for the past twenty years, cried profusely when Brian drove away to that Charlie Puth song, and even I would now rather it all went away. But franchises that can gross $700 million worldwide are few and far between, and no modern media conglomerate is going to let that kind of IP die.

I'd imagine Universal is excited to keep pushing this franchise into a post-Vin future.

If thats the case, I could see the rebooting the IP in the form of a streaming series that is more akin to something like MI.

Currently at the park, was looking at the Hollywood Drift construction when I saw that they have the Ford Escort MK from Fast and Furious 6 (Pictured here) wrapped and parked in the queue area.

Not a super big update but just cool to see more big theming pieces be added. I got some pictures of it with my camera and will upload them here when I get home today!

Glad to see they are far along into the queue and station being built! Really hope that the sound walls can get built soon so they can begin actual testing!

I’d imagine in theory they’d still want the half pipes ready so they can make sure they’re being made as intended.

Little A, little B. Even if it's mostly a non-issue, I'd imagine the neighbors will get cranky if they see trains cycling without the promised barriers installed.

Another thing to note, they ended up adding a second car by the time I came back around to the construction in the evening with this one being Brian's Subaru Impreza from Furious 7.


ALSO, something that REALLY got me interested is that there is now, what looks to be, a giant packed in ball with presumably something extremely fragile inside. It's also the first prop piece on this ride that I've seen have a specific 'No Photos' sign on it and its size is big enough to house an animatronic inside.

It'd be the most hilarious thing ever if they went ahead and made an Epic Universe level animatronic for Vin Diesel and plopped it in the queue.
