There should've been a Sinister Six team-up in the ride to be villains. The problem lies in that they are using a live-action version of Spider-Man, which means villains would have to be live-action (and further working with Sony to bring people like Keaton, Leto, Hardy, etc on-board to play Vulture, Morbius, Venom, etc).

However, even if they just used one villain (maybe Keaton's Vulture again) then it probably couldn't have been any worse than this and it certainly would've been more fun for fans of the character and of the MCU.

I think the storyline of the spider bots escaping could've worked..it's just the execution that's super poor

It is in fact, Midway Mania with Spider bots and they already have that in DCA

Headscratcher for sure

I didn't know a ride could be so awkward. It's just silence with a couple of zappy sounds and Tom Holland talking at the beginning and the end.

This is the best Disney could do for a Spider-Man ride? Serious?.. Why do people want Disney to have all theme park rights for Marvel again?

Give me, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, the GOAT, any day over this. Because this is straight up trash.

MIB: Alien Attack is more fun than this turd looks.

I think the Sinister Six would have been a bit much and maybe start resulting in direct comparisons to IOA.

Mysterio would have been such a fun concept. Instantly transporting you to different areas and making all kinds of weird and impossible things happen.

Or tie it into the next movie if the rumours are to be believed about Doc Ock and Green Goblin returning along with multiple Spider-Man.

Yeah, I get kids will absolutely love to sling webs like spider-man does. It'll be super popular among the young demographic. But they already have a shooter in TSMM and there's Buzz at Dl and Smugglers Run is also a ride based on points (if you want it to be).

It does raise an interesting question though - with DCA virtually out of expansion space (counting the Avengers E-ticket spot as taken) before they have to resort to expanding the park boundaries into DTD, do you guys think maybe they built this ride with plans to replace TSMM soon?

Damn whomever mentioned Time Crisis, now I've been brought back to countless hours putting quarters into those machines. :lol: As for this and TSMM, not sure... I haven't been to the park, but if they wanted to replace it, this seems like a logical first step.

No. It's generally popular and Toy Story is just an important franchise in terms of merch and appeal to a wide demographic. It could do with an update to add Toy Story 4 characters and introduce a less cumbersome control interface.

I mentioned this on Theme Park Stop, but it does feel like it need mention onto here as-well. WEB, and Guardians feel like we are at a progressive slate of attractions that, once Avengers E-Ticket hopefully comes out, gives fuel to the fire for a more well rounded area.

WEB = Kids dark ride
Guardians = Family Drop tower ride
Avengers = (Hopefully) Thrill Ride

The problem, is that it isn't complete and that they should've had this completed at the start. But instead, Disney is going in the direction of something that feels as if it's by checkpoints, with goals obtained by that of the sales of things within the land. Atleast...that's my thought process.

That is basically the gameplan now with these new land rollouts it seems. I love the idea of the campus with the three rides like you mentioned. That combined with the food, pop up shows and characters is really neat. I really hope we get that Avengers/Wakanda ride because this land will need it.

Just give me some Dr. Strange dish that lets me see multiple dimensions/timelines. Then everything will be awesome. :cheers:

So I’m beginning to wonder - maybe Disney cut budgets on this because they realized they CAN’T build this in Orlando. SWGE (which is still a mess to some extent) was built with a budget knowing it would produce revenue in two parks.

They're building this in Paris though as well... only difference will be that Paris will have RnRC themed to Iron Man and no GotG tower. But DCA and Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland will all get the E-Ticket

You know what else is bugging (heh) me about this ride.

This takes place at Avenger's Campus which is meant to be filled with superheroes but Spider-Man is the only one there.

I don’t have a ton of positives to say here. I’ll just say I’m not entirely happy with how recent dark rides have become just interactive video games.

Seconded. I know it's the in thing now, but I just don't want a ride where I have to do something. I'm on vacation, not a business trip. Enough with the interactive stuff.

Web Slingers works just fine IF we get the e-ticket. Then the land would have two adult level E-Tickets and this family friendly … D? C?

It's not worthy of what is arguably the most popular Marvel character, but I get your point.

Tom Holland deserves better.

Though based only on the above video, my response is, "Uh, what?" If I go to DCA (unlikely anytime soon), I can only hope that people will be in line for this uninspiring ride so that I can on RSR. One of the most popular and successful movie franchises in history and this is the best that they can do?

Cue Ultron "No, this is the best I can do."

I hope they also expand the land into that lot behind the tower. Add an indoor area out of the sun with dedicated space for shows and activities. Then have a section of that area that leads to the ride.

Also, a bummer that the preshow apparently ditched the Spider-Man AA that was rumored.

Why is it that Musion Christopher Walken in 2008 looked better than Musion Tom Holland in 2021?
