I'm sure Uni will be deeply upset by a single person not buying an annual pass for a few years.

You are going to go to Disney, that has opened how many new rides in the last 5, or even 15 years?

K

As for 6 years for the new park....

It'll be open before everything Disney announced at D 23.

Well the latest date for what Disney’s currently building is 2021. The year we’ve been hearing for the third park is 2023 so I made a mistake counting from 2017 so it’s 5 or more years actually. If it’s sooner that that, I thought you guys didn’t like things rushed and want to wait as long as possible?

Disney’s got a huge nostalgia factor for me. Universal does not. They will when Nintendo opens but they’re in no hurry with that sooooooo... here we are.

Edit: Also, Disney’s never teased me with a carrot like Nintendo. You don’t mess with me like that.

Universal never teased you. You set yourself up for the disappointment. All Universal has said is we partnered with Nintendo. Never game a timeframe other than Japan for 2020.

I’m saying this as someone who’s known you on the forums for some time...

If you wanna die on this hill, go for it; but it’s really making you seem like a brat who didn’t get his way. Please just dial it down, dude. It’s cool to be upset - but do you wanna throw a temper tantrum for a theme park?

What of all the insiders that proved themselves to be knowledgeable in the past saying at first it was coming sooner to KidZone even backing it up with permits for that area? Even if I didn’t follow this site I would’ve eventually felt this way with years going by and not a single word.

If we locked in what insiders report, we'd have Van Helsing instead of Harry Potter. Crap happens. Sometimes for better business purposes.

This is why we have the disclaimer:

Rumors should be considered as such until Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld Orlando, or any other official outlet provides information stating otherwise. Any official announcements of future attractions and projects will be shared on our main site, InsideUniversal.net

Rumors from those in the know shouldn't be taken as gospel, but rather as an idea of where the current is heading. Unfortunately, the current can change - which is the case with Nintendo.

I mean they filed permits for Kidzone. The insiders weren’t wrong, Universal just changed their mind due to the new land. Stuff happens. I don’t really like waiting, but not going to get angry about itS

Everything from D23 will by open by 2021, most by the end of 2020. There are quite a few other offerings that should be open before then as well.

The new park is rumored for 2023, but 2023 is also the earliest we likely see it.

Especially the fact Universal has yet to come up with a new theme for the 3rd theme park, which we won't likely know until after WDW's 50th anniversary.

We don't necessarily know that, but there's a lot to be worked on definitely.

This is morphing into more of a conversation about the Third Park and less about Nintendo though so let's get back on track.

It could be worse. It could be cancelled all together. Look at the bright side.

Yeah. I feel like we've been spoiled as theme park fans this past decades and we've come to expect things quickly. Now 8 years or so from the announcement of a partnership is quite a wait, I agree, but it will be open in two other locations before it opens in Orlando so if you want to see it that badly, start saving money and head to Osaka in 2020.

If Nintendo land gets cancelled, I'm voting for Sony land, with a God of War ride. lol.

I get the idea, I think the timeframe complaints will all be forgotten about once the plans are more known. I do get the fact we seemed "so close", but I'm sure the new plans will contain enough new stuff on top to more than compensate.

This is one of the reasons universal doesn't like to announce things until it's nearly done, along with the other major reasons of not having folks delay trips and not giving competition a leg up.

I don’t expect much “new stuff” in the Mario/DK portion, but the extra time/new park(s) will offer opportunities for Zelda and Pokémon and the like.

Plus, everyone will forget about the wait once Park 3 is announced, if it’s as ambitious as I’ve been hearing it is for the past few years

List of things I want to see added

- Some sort of Luigi's Mansion interactive experience (ride or walkthrough, I don't care)
- Bigger Castle (Imagine if they turned it into a hotel)
- The courtyard needs to be expanded, as to help with crowdflow.
- Another D-Ticket, to help spread out crowds.
- A full-service restaurant
- A new show

Luigi's Mansion seems highly unlikely considering it's not a major franchise, and Luigi will most likely be represented in other attractions.

The original pitch did have some sort of LM experience, so I wouldn't say it's impossible.

I'm one of the few here that was never very keen for SNL in Kidzone, mostly due to the acreage limitation (regardless of the vertical build) . I've always posted, and thought, the main Nintendo land should get a StarWars or better land showcase (14 or even more acres). Do it big, do it right. With the new park there will be more room for the extras that make a good land great. Extra piazza space, major restaurants, interesting stores, large interactive areas, areas for live entertainment, etc. . I'm fully on board for this as one of the anchors of the new park, if that's what's in the cards.
