Six Flags Magic Mountain

I rode Justice League yesterday. I will advocate for its existence and insist that it's actually a great shooting ride when everything is working and firing on all cylinders...especially for a Six Flags park.

I will say that it's best days are unfortunately behind us. Loading took forever as they seem to be running only like five cars on the whole ride, the shooting mechanism was not working (Like all of the lasers were shot at the same direction), the animatronics weren't in great shape (Especially Harley), and the last two screens were lagging hard.

I really want this ride to get the long refurb it desperately needs. The survey that came out earlier this year seems to indicate the park is looking to replace it, which would be a shame. It just needs a lot more TLC and some elbow grease. I know it's not the most well-received ride, but there should be a place for something like this. It's literally the only indoor ride with air conditioning....something the park is sorely lacking. Heck, I'd be down for them to close it for a while just to bring it back up to par.

I remember the ride being in pristine shape when it opened and it was great. Would love to see them give the ride another chance.

I’m expecting an announcement any day that they are gutting that ride (Justice League), and converting it to something similar to Phantom Theater. Especially since they are using Kings Island as the model for what they want SFMM to be in the next 5 years.

I Love DC, the JL ride was not bad but the amount of money to really fix it....I'd just rather we get a new ride.

We need something that also just loads more people

If its something with a random theme cool but if it could be another DC ride or Looney tunes thats what I would love the most.

While that would be great, I think that's doubtful. All the SF/CF parks that are refurbishing dark rides already had the bones of that ride already there, and was baked in to the park's history.

SFMM has never had any true dark ride in the park's history (putting aside the walk thru-Magic Pagoda or the Dragon transportation ride, neither of which I would call a dark ride).

Unfortunately JL doesn't get the ridership to continue to maintain or staff it year after year. So at some point it's either getting remodeled or removed for something that will. We can see this happening all over the chain. In the last survey sent out to pass holders, a Phantom type attraction was one of the options given to test the interest. Obviously we're not looking at a clone of Phantom theater, but something that fits the aesthetics of Magic Mountain.

Taz (darn autocorrect in my post, lol) is so adorable in person! The old gift shop at the train (also Mrs. Claus's kitchen for Holiday in the Park) is currently a photo op for Taz when he's out! We also ran into Wile E. Coyote at the Looney Tunes meet and greet area, which they are keeping busy, despite the fact that they are not listing any times whatsoever on the sign

I agree, there's already some evidence of this, namely the large sign by the entrance fountain that no longer mentioned Six Flags, just "Magic Mountain".

Also, I posted this update in the Fright Fest 2026 thread, but since I mentioned it here, the day after I reported that absolutely nothing was up in the old Saw maze location, ThemeParkDuo literally posted this the next day. I swear there was nothing there the day before, so they moved literally overnight getting those tents up
