And guests with wheelchairs need to go to the old station regardless of if they have Fastpass.

The old ratio for FP distribution at Toy was minimum 80% but could be as high as 85 or 90% on some days.

The ride itself was extremely low capacity. 1087 was like the theoretical capacity - but never reached, more like 800-900 guests per hour.

Which is why the 3rd track was desperately needed.

So basically, the capacity is of course better with another line, but it's still pretty low capacity at 1200-1300 hr. That jives with all the numbers I heard in the past.

I honestly think attendance is way down at DHS to have the wait time be so short.

But I've also seen like 30 people wait 45mins in the standby line. Seriously - just the two switchbacks in front of where Potato was were filled and it was nothing but FP admits at the high end ratios. There was no line behind these people.

And the new track would accommodate those 30 people while Fastpass chugs along at the old tracks. So, dunno.

The Alien Saucer ride will be around 1200, too. Maters is 600/hour, but this ride is a dueling ride like MK's Dumbo, so it has double capacity.

That leaves the coaster, which I have to think will be fairly low as well, no more than 1200 i'd say (based on what I looked up on the Vekoma website). So the land will have severe capacity issues.

It depends... DHS doesn't get the crowds that Epcot and MK have.

I don't agree with DHS being down, well I agree attendance is down, but I don't think that is the reason for the 25 minutes wait. We were there just a couple weeks ago and Star Tours was a walk on all day, so was a lot of other stuff at DHS. It was pretty dead day, but Toy Story never went below 55 minutes and got as high as 75 minutes. The line itself like you said was not long, looked to be super short in fact we waited in line for about 5 minutes thinking no way was this a 55 minute wait. It moved pretty slow and we got out. We later snatched up a second set of FPs so we did get on a second time. So I think this extra line is really going to help. I still see insane wait times in the peak times because people are willing to wait 60+ minutes for this thing and so more people will get in line (more people will ride it too), but I think in slower periods it will be more realistic waits. I don't peak waits going down until TSL and SWL are in the parks.

I think the key will be there will be 3 rides with no to low height restrictions. So it will spread the crowds out. So I don't see insane waits for all 3 things. But I don't see DHS capacity problems being fixed with TSL either. I think it needs SWL and a Phase 3 to fully fix the DHS capacity issues. It was a smart move keeping Indy, because if they had shut that down this park would never fix its capacity issues.

Yeah, they're not adding much. This doesn't come close to making up for what they've shut down the last few years. The park will be lacking in capacity even with SWL attractions. When the huge Star Wars crowds come in the capacity won't be enough to handle all the people. They are in a complex situation not easily solved.

Luckily, both Star Wars rides are looking to be very high capacity.

I really do wonder how the extra capacity will effect soarin and toy.

Part of the allure of these things is that there is a line, regardless of quality/interest.

Take Turtle Talk for example. It had that massive line that filled the lower level. Now it has higher capacity but no line.

I think more people waited for it and saw it when it has a line versus no line.

Attendance is down at all Orlando parks excluding two. DHS attendance is in the drain.

For Turtle Trek maybe as it's an out of the way show. But for TSMM and Soarin', the amount of people that will experience both attractions each day should increase significantly. It's not like the line for either is just going to go away completely.

Agreed. There will be a line. What I am looking forward to is on slower days when most everything has lower waits, that these rides will also have lower waits and not still have insane 75 to 120 minute waits.

I know you're trying to say USF + IOA. But, has MK stayed steady at the least? I haven't been in a while, but I always assumed that MK was basically everything-proof. No matter what you do, people still keep going and more follow.

A couple summers ago MK also was down a little from what I heard. The Brazilian market would effect all of WDW.

So, I watch a LOT of news but I didn't know about this Brazil issue. Is this info coming from managers of the hotels and the parks? Do they report that it is that bad?

Brazil's economy is in one of it's customary freefalls. Their political situation is in shambles. And they are hosting the Olympics, which is bound to keep a good bit of vacationers home. When the World Cup was in Brazil a couple of summers ago, WDW summer attendance tanked.

I don't know specifics, I imagine DHS and DAK are in freefall RIGHT NOW, MK is probably slightly down and Epcot is probably down as locals wait to go for new attractions. That's a guess of course. (FWIW right now DAK and DHS are barely 7 mill a year parks).
