I just wish we had one AP line or a returning gues/AP line only

Same. When I was there last week, the guest in front of us entered, only for the gate employee to completely turn their back on all of us in line to just… chat about the park with the guest, telling them how to get to rides, recommending their favorite place to eat, etc. All of us in line were like, “Hello? We want to get in!”

And that’s not even the first time it’s happened—I’m okay with friendly/chatty gate employees, but especially when the lines are long, it drives me nuts when they end up actively making an already slow process even longer either by choice or by having to indulge clueless guests who decide the gate person is who to ask a million questions of. An AP-only line would be awesome for those of us who know the process and want to move on.

Meanwhile, I’ve experienced the new security setup three times already and each one has been faster than both the old security check and getting into the park proper! Definitely time for Universal to consider improving the park gate process now.

I heard a rumor that security has been asking people what they are coming into the Citywalk for and putting people with AMC tickets in a their own line to speed them up, if anyone has seen this let me know

This Reddit post suggests that they are! I didn't witness it myself, but I did see some signs set off to the side at the Jurassic Parking checkpoint that said to have movie tickets ready to show, which would fit that kind of process.

I’ll have to get a movie ticket the next time I go to the park in the afternoon then and try it out

I've used it about 3-4 times, and had zero issues. Found it faster that the old system every time.

The only thing I will complain about is the main gates....those are soooo slow the system needs to be changed but security is normally as fast if not faster

I've only parked in Jurassic, but I found the process from a guest flow perspective... suboptimal, to say the least. It is not very clear where you are meant to go when parking in that garage. The existing Citywalk-side traversal infrastructure (i.e. elevators, escalators, and stairs) are insufficient to process the number of guests that need to go down, and it isn't immediately apparent that there are new escalators to the far side. Bizarrely, it didn't seem like those escalators even travel to every floor of the garage.

The security checkpoint itself was smooth and painless. It's the getting there // returning to your car that caused more friction than I expected.

interesting, I park there as well and never had to wait...they always have more lanes open then people there

HHN and Grinchmas for me are the real tests but this summer Ive had nothing but good luck, everyone knows I will give feedback if i see anything but in this case. I've had no issues, yet at least but HHN could change that with the extra rules like no food and water

Couldn’t agree more. The pathway and signage for returning to the new Jurassic escalators is also incredibly insufficient. The directional sign as you pass through the exit turnstiles are obscured by a rolling steel door and the walkway to the escalators is incredibly narrow. I can’t imagine any non-regular guest would be able to navigate it well.

I see more people than ever taking the elevators to their desired floor on Jurassic Parking because I’m almost certain they don’t know about the new escalators.

Returning from the park is the most confusing because everyone just heads straight into the structure/elevators instead of making that right hand turn to the escalators.

I also agree the signage is confusing. They need to paint a walkway on the ground so people follow that.

That actual security hub itself is quick and painless.
