So about half of Epcot. That would be pretty great. They just need to maximize it as much as possible. No more huge central lagoon.

No, I'd argue a ton of water is necessary. Uni's problems are they have just a big body of water instead of interconnected waterways.

They should ape the design choices of TDS. Lots and lots of water running through the park with a hub in the middle.

I'd personally prefer to see them tackle hub & spoke, but agreed.....water features should flow through a lot of the lands.

maybe they could push that park size up to 250 acres...I think to avoid lack of expansion spaces which has to lead to this problem of compact theme park engineering.

TDS is kind of Hub and Spoke

There's very little reason to make a park that big.

I agree, hub and spoke with waterways in there somewhere. Bridges on the spokes could help with it a lot, kind of like MK. Obviously on a smaller scale.

Hub and spoke would be perfect, it maximizes space while still allowing for water.

I remember when Epcot opened that people complained that the park was too big and there was too much walking. So it's probably wise to keep it in the 120 to 150 acre range. Lots of space to expand but not too big for walking.

MK is "only" something like 110 acres.

MK uses it's 110 acres more efficiently than Uni does though because there's no large lagoon wasting an incredible amount of space.

Really? Hmmm... I guess it is compact. Just seems like so much larger than the Uni parks when it it. Guess it is just perception because of the no big huge lake in the middle. More smaller waterways.

Looks like Viacom is about to be up for sale so now two major entertainment companies are up for grabs. Will Comcast grab either?

I'm going to be VERY curious on Paramount, and who will get them. As it can be either WB or Comcast for the taking, and to be honest; I am thinking Comcast may just get that company.

Paramount isn't that strong at all right now, but it is a name brand that could be salvaged by a company like Comcast.

From a theme park point of view, there are a few IPs that could make some great rides: Star Trek, Cloverfield and Mission Impossible.

I guess the time capsule could return.

Looking through some of the other IPs, a few are sticking out that would never get built but it's fun to imagine. Beavis and Butthead giving commentary on rides. A South Park musical with Chef's chocolate salty balls quick service. A Jackass stunt show. A Celebrity Roast show where a visitor is taking on stage and roasted.

Aaaah.... Sumner Redstone is stepping down at CBS. Speculation has that this will happen next at Viacom. He chaired both I guess?
