I am sorry hear it but just not surprised

I'm not blaming the TMs but the park is run by people who do not care

On the Jellyfish swings One person to get all guests off and on, count how many people are getting on the ride and measuring all kid is done by one TM when I went on a three day weekend and this TM was a kid, while at DCA you have 4 people at least for the same kinda ride and they get at least 2 if not 3 times the cycles in because of this

Disney isn't perfect but compared to Six Flags, Knotts, Sea World and even USH sometimes (looking at you single rider randomly closing or Mummy/jurrassic not being fully staffed to get people on quicker on busy days) but I see the effort there. They have CMs that look bored places because they hire more then enough people for parades, shows, rides and more the mobile ordering at Disneyland is also still the best

But anyway my point is after going recently I just saw how much the park did not care if your having a good time, the TMs have almost no training anywhere and no one seems to know whats going on even at the front desk they literally look on the website for info like when the Atlantis is reopening, lollllllll

I doubt I get my pass next year with things closing and nothing being worked on now...and even if they were i dont believe they would have anything interesting to show by next year with how it took a whole EXTRA year to get Jellyfish working and now a redo of a ride (mostly paint with one area getting some new effects) is over a month behind

Anyway I'll be back in August for a concert and see whatever I can get on and will report back then how things are going

Then Arctic Rescue was closed. Not temporarily, the entire entrance was blocked off, so who knows how long that will be. And on the smaller rides, both Riptide Rescue and Tidal Twister also never opened (the latter seems to be getting heavily .

Tidal twister was demolished in November of 2023 it’s an empty dirt plot there now also all of the us straddle coaster are closed for an unknown reason right now.IMG_7184.jpeg

Sorry, I meant the other Tidal ride (the names are so confusing)... the one that's more of a tea-cup style ride in the kiddie area.

And what do you mean all the straddle rides are closed? Are you talking across the country/world, or just at Sea World parks? Haven't heard anything about that. Is Hagrid closed as well?

Wave breaker and darkoaster are both closed. Along with jet rescue in Australia and I believe the ones in Europe are also closed right now. and Hagrid’s has different trains from the others

A civil lawsuit alleging patent infringement shouldn't shut down open and operating rides... Seems like there's a story here worthy of further investigation!

Also emperors closed because it needs a new lift motor don’t know why Atlantis was delayed it seems to be testing a lot. This and next year are not going to be great due to construction but the park will be better coming out of it

I can't even put a positive defensive spin on the park's current state of existence o_O

I miss when SeaWorld wasn't so looked down upon by everyone & it was a great aquatic zoo that provided a balance of education, entertainment & thrills.. I'm still hoping for the best.

This is a great example of their present incompetence that doesn't give me much hope for the future, though. You don't wait for the lift motor on one of your headliner coasters to fail before you order a new one. You have one on-hand. You also don't announce an opening date for the heavily hyped return of another attraction until you're sure you can meet it. It's amateur hour - these are unforced errors that follow the embarrassing rollout of the Sea Explorer "zone" or whatever.

You know what would help out this park? A submarine dark ride, but put it outdoors in broad daylight, on an elevated platform, put an interactive screen that can't be seen in daylight, and make it move at a snail's pace.

In an effort to give some positive credit where it's due, I will say the park's landscaping is still immaculate and much appreciated (though I've noticed the water under the Sky Tower has been drained for at least month--not sure what's up with that). And the aquatic exhibits that are open are pretty good--I did enjoy the new Jellyfish exhibit. Not sure if I'd plan a visit around it alone, but it is a good addition to the park.

It's struggling to find it's identity... trying to be an aquarium and a thrill park, and not really doing either one well. Even Six Flags Discovery Kingdom seems to be pulling it off better than Sea World, and that's not saying much.

The sky tower lake has been drained for years. And the city is requiring the park to stay 70% educational so they have to invest in the animals now I’m hoping the shark and penguin encounter renovations are improvement. Tho the ride situation right now is an embarrassment and something that I would expect out of magic mountain not Seaworld but that’s what private equity firms do.

Uhh, uhh, there's a placard talking about manta rays in our Manta coaster queue! That means the ride's entire footprint counts as educational

In all fairness, that aquarium queue was a great design choice along with the rockwork & waterfalls.

Also the one at SFNE being delayed after announcing its opening date: https://www.sixflags.com/newengland/attractions/quantum-accelerator

They must have found a problem with that model of coaster that needs to be addressed ASAP...

To add to the confusion, on a discord, I had one person swearing they had a friend that rode Wave Breaker at Sea World San Antonio just a few days ago. Can anyone confirm?

I'm figuring that poster was mistaken, but admittedly the SWSA website doesn't mention anything about Wave Breaker being closed (nor does the app), while both Arctic Rescue and DarKoaster both say they're "temporarily closed" on their websites (and, at least for SWSD, the app also mentions it).

Is there a reason why the Intamin jet ski coasters are all down? Did I miss something?
