Looks like Indiana Jones running on Steam Deck is out of the question. These requirements are INSANE. Guess I’ll play it on PS5, at least this means it’s gonna look great.

Even the minimum? That sucks.

Guess I’m waiting for a miracle Switch 2 port from Panic Button like they did for both Dooms and Wolfenstein 2 on the OG Switch. This will probably be the case for Doom: The Dark Ages as well.

It’s definitely coming I think based on Half Life Alyx. Thankfully I’ll likely have plenty of time to play the first two before then lol. I got them both when 2 was recently free and 1 was only $1. I’ve also got Portal 1+2 waiting that only cost me $1.50.

I'd argue something bigger; it highlights the lack of a need to spend massive bucks on a game budget when spending the time to invest in smaller teams dedicated to their craft could allow more potential.

Turok is probably the “big one” for me and it’s not really like I’m hugely hyped it just looks cool. I don’t really like having a backlog which I actually have to get through for the first time now so I’m pretty selective overall in adding to it. I am curious about trying out Okami HD now that I see a sequel is coming since I hear it’s a great Zelda-like experience. Although there wasn’t much specifically for me I knew the importance of all of these big surprises since I greatly enjoy watching YouTube retrospectives on various game franchises especially ones with a passionate fan base that’s just waiting for their favorites to return. I got so happy for Onimusha even though it’s something I’ll likely not touch myself. As a Metroid fan, I understand these feelings all too well lol.

I am so happy Astro Bot won GOTY.

This game gave me a level of joy I haven't gotten from playing a video game since I was a kid - I was smiling ear to ear through the entirety of my playthrough. I imagine we will probably see a sequel at some point, and hopefully we continue to get small updates/DLC.

Very intrigued by Intergalactic - Naughty Dog has earned my faith no matter what they decide to put out next.

In terms of announcements, well in all honesty there was a lot of good ones!

For me, Okami 2 was a massive one. Not just because the first game is really good, but with a revived Clover Studio in the form of Clovers, one can't help but wonder what the future might bring, and if it also brings a new Viewtiful Joe, I am ALL for that.

Okami HD is currently on sale for $5 and according to DekuDeals (the site I use to track eShop sales) this is the lowest it’s ever been. Definitely low enough for me to finally give a try and see what the hype is about so I bought it.

I remember enjoying the original Okami on Wii, but I never ended up finishing it. It definitely takes a lot influence from classic 3D Zelda games. I also might pick it up at that price.

Same, played like 500 hours of BOTW when the Switch first came out but I never got past the final dungeon where you build the robot in TOTK. Idk why, but I just didn’t have any interest in finishing it.
