Mouse confirmed for all consoles baby!

Been waiting for a game like this sine Cuphead. I didn’t play that one because of the reputation of difficulty it has.

Wow, that's very unfortunate. The more recent Rayman titles are some of my all-time favorite games. I've always hoped that we would eventually get some kind of follow up...

A rumor came out and then was quickly confirmed by Ubisoft themselves that the team was moved to Rayman, not laid off or fired. The part of the rumor that wasn’t confirmed was that this is apparently a remake which might be Rayman 3.

Ubisoft says they’ve entered “early stages” of Rayman project

By now, you’ve probably heard the news from Insider Gaming that Ubisoft is allegedly working on a new Rayman game. The game is apparently a remake that is in early development, and it is going by the…

I guess Ubisoft is facing so much crap right now that they had to come out and say this to avoid any further controversy considering how well received The Lost Crown was despite low sales.

Edit to add: I was going to wait for some kind of deep sale like Ubisoft always does but I had $4 worth of gold points in the eShop and just bought the complete pack of PoP DLC for $6. I bought the game at full price too because I wanted to support the developer that made Rayman Legends.

An Update from PlayStation Studios

Not only that, they partially blame the failure on Concord being a new IP.
I am a big believer in the benefits of embracing creative experimentation and developing new IP. However, growing through sustainable financials, especially in a challenged economic environment is critical.

Considering the rumor that the studio was infested with toxic positivity that shut down any and all internal criticism, I don’t feel bad. Anyone pushing that culture got what they deserved. I especially don’t feel bad for this guy.

I didn’t play it, does it have a really conclusive ending? Why do you say it’s a bad idea? It seemed like the original was nostalgic and fun but had a lot of areas it could improve, and it made an ungodly amount of money so I’d think a sequel would be good for fans and the studio alike

Edit: Somehow completely missed the part about connecting it to the HBO series. Yeah, I’d think a completely original and self-contained story would work wayyyy better

I didn't finish the first game, which has more to do with my inability to finish a video game than anything else, but enjoyed what I played. and, as noted, it made an ungodly sum of money. coordinating it with the "Harry Potter era" seems like a mistake to me, but I also think the tv show is a mistake. so, perhaps I'm the problem here.

Also there’s no “red lines” on games for other consoles but Halo isn’t soon.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer says there are "no red lines" preventing Microsoft games releasing on PlayStation, but it's too early to make decisions about Halo on PS5

The Vita is one of my favorite handhelds ever, but I honestly don't know if I'd buy a PSP2 or whatever at this point. Between the Steam Deck and Switch 2, I don't know what Sony could offer that's that compelling. Unless this is a full on Vita nostalgia trip with the UI and form factor...

Yeah I honestly don’t know what they could do here. They can’t have a dedicated handheld with its own dedicated games as they’re already cut thin making games just for the PS5 and I also don’t think their audience would appreciate the idea of the suggestion that games are being held back in some way so that they could run on the inevitably weaker handheld Xbox Series S style.

With XBOX having a handheld in development too with the Scarlett, it makes sense that Sony would be wanting to do the same due to the growing market of "Console-Tablets" that is present from the sake of the ROG Ally, the Steam Deck, and of the Switch/Switch 2. I wonder if this might actually phase out regular consoles outright, because of the handheld capability.

This is the direction I’m thinking. Eventually everything is some kind of hybrid.

I'm on board with a new handheld. The PS Portal is a must buy now that they've added cloud streaming. A dedicated handheld (at an affordable price) would sell millions.

Looks like Indiana Jones running on Steam Deck is out of the question. These requirements are INSANE. Guess I’ll play it on PS5, at least this means it’s gonna look great.
