Bit late to post this, and not quite a full trip report so didn't want to make a thread, but I was at Epic last Sunday and that definitely seems like the day to go. Didn't have early entry or express.

-Arrived at 9:30am (park opened at 10) and queued for Berk with the intent to knock out Hiccup's, Werewolf and Monsters before our lunch reservation at 11:45. Hiccup's was delayed at opening, so we considered Ministry, but that was down as well. DK was posted at 35 minutes so we hightailed it over. Was posted 60 when we arrived, but we hopped in single rider and were off the ride about 30 minutes later.

-Went over to Werewolf which was already up to 35. You feel every minute you're in this queue (along with Hiccup's), which is why I wanted to knock these out when they were walk-ons, but alas. Took 35 minutes to ride and it was lunchtime.

-First time trying Blue Dragon and man, what a vibe in here. Got the Dragon Fried Rice and I'm no foodie, but it was pretty darn good.

-Next ride was Monsters, posted 15 IIRC but we walked right on with single rider (this is like my fifth visit - seen the preshow several times already)

-Hiccups eventually came back up and was posted at 40 for most of the day. Hit this next and waited slightly less than that.

-Stardust Racers had very low waits all day, think by early afternoon it had peaked at 25 but generally held 15-20. Essentially walked on this twice in a row (1-2 train wait), had some audio hiccups though :(

-Was planning on Cirque next but it was down, so I hit Monsters again with single rider. Ride got delayed for about 10 minutes due to a breakdown just as I was about to board, but no biggie.

-Cirque came back up so we hit that next. First time seeing it and it was decent, felt like it ended abruptly though. Could have used another five minutes or so to flesh it out more.

-Yoshi was down to 20 at this point (close to 5pm IIRC) so we did that, and then DK was posted somewhere around 60 I think - we hopped in standby and only waited about 35. DK did very well all day in terms of downtime as far as I could tell, was on the app constantly and never saw it delayed.

-Had dinner at Oak & Star which is maybe my favorite quick service in a theme park. Pulled pork, mango bread and mac n' cheese are all fantastic imo.

-At this point crowds were starting to thin, which I hadn't really experienced before (only stayed that late when I went the second day of previews) Hiccups was posted at 20 or 30 at this point and we only waited maybe 10. Awesome night ride as the first half takes you toward Celestial Park so you can see all the lights.

-Wait times were indeed cratering as Mario Kart was down to a pittance of 15 minutes at close to 8pm after holding 70+ most of the day. Ran over to SNW and rode that with little wait before and after the preshow.

-Side note, but it's probably clear from this post that I don't really stay in each land and rather crisscross the park to the rides I want to do based on waits. I can understand the complaints about having to walk across Celestial Park to get from one place to another, but honestly I don't find it a bother as long as it isn't super hot out and you aren't crossing the entire park. Dark Universe to Berk is rough, but SNW to Dark Universe, or Dark Universe to Ministry is easy peasy imo. Plus you get more of the Celestial Park vibes!

-Pretty late at this point, around 8pm IIRC, with Ministry posted at 40 minutes on the app. We walk over and the sign outside says 100, but was probably a glitch. No line until the stairs before load which was awesome to see.

-One more lap on Stardust about 8:30pm. Posted 25 but was a walk on to the lockers with only a slightly longer wait in the station area.

Total rides/shows, counting re-rides, was 14 for the day, and I could have easily hopped on Stardust and Monsters a few more times, and even Ministry again. Was walking out of the park close to 9pm I think, but they were open till 10. Skipped Carousel, Dragon Racer's Rally, Fyre Drill and Untrainable Dragon. Could have also lapped Hiccups a few more times if I wanted, doubt it had any wait at that point.

tl;dr - go to Epic on a Sunday that isn't around a holiday

YES. Sundays on a non Holiday week is the trick. Most especially after 5:30 PM, or so.
