Anyone know if they are allowing tripods into the park yet? Or more specifically for AP previews? My camera is drooling to get some night photography at the park.

I asked someone who works in security and I was told they are allowed. I sometimes think security hires former bus drives, but I have to believe they are allowed.

They had a film crew there probably for commercial b-roll. It was a fountain show test. They ran through some of the programed mini shows that will run every 15 mins or so during the evenings. There are a variety of 2-3 minute shows based off of the lands in the park. This was just a small test but it seemed they wanted a crowd around the fountain for the commercial footage so they ran through some of the numbers back to back.

Glad to hear this. It was not captivating enough to sit through 20 minutes.

I actually wondered at first why the opening number felt like license free music you find in YouTube videos o_O

The shows are segments that appear every 15 minutes, you know like the fountain of nations. Clearly Uni needs more Yanni.

I really enjoyed the Mario music. Is there a reason they didn’t want to do any water screens though? But I guess it’s super short anyway.

water screens don't work for 360 viewing. I think that's why Bellagio, Dubai, Wyn, and a lot of other fountain shows don't really use them

It'll be interesting to see how accommodating Universal is during previews if multiple attractions go down throughout the day for long periods of time.

Understandably, it's a preview period and that is expected... but there's also a pretty hefty price tag attached to it that guests won't be happy with if they can't get on anything. I mean, just a few days ago there was a period where all the E-tickets (Monsters, Stardust, Mario Kart, DK).

I'd be there in a shot if I could for the previews, but its a bit of a gamble as to what you end up doing, thinking about it, its a bit like attempting to do Hagrids at EPA.

Well, the difference between Hagrid and Epic is that you have lots alternative options (we should all go into Epic with the idea we're not going to experience MoM at the very least) . However, its not uncommon to see a significant amount of attractions go down during previews to date.

As someone who sells Disney, I am proud to say I'm not shocked at all!
But that's DISNEY. I thought Universal would be different. I THOUGHT WE WERE DIFFERENT, FRYOJ.
You won't catch me watching World of Color, let alone PAYING for it :lmao:

Prayers for all of you that most of the stuff works for your Preview days...Myself, there's no way I'd pay that much money for a lot of ' maybe I'll get to ride' attractions. I'm in no hurry. I want to walk into a finished park when I go for the first time. I want that new, attractions ready to go, all done, experience. I'm patient, and I'll be there in November.....health cooperating......Soft opening for new attractions in an existing park are a different story. At least then the rest of the park you're paying for is generally in good working order. Sorry, but I've never understood the 'I have to be first' mindset. ....Anyway, I wish you all good 'Preview' luck.

I thought the wording on the FAQ was strange... "EPA doesn't begin until 5/23, but you can enter early"

Q: Is Early Park Admission at Epic Universe available during the Preview period?
A:
While Early Park Admission at Universal Epic Universe does not begin until May 23, 2025, Universal Hotel guests can enter the park up to one-hour prior to regular guests from April 17 through May 8 with valid theme park admission.

That would be...odd. But if that means an hour of enjoying Celestial that isn't the worst thing ever.

Unless everyone is at the gate an hour early, then rushes to a portal to wait for another hour.
Will any restaurants/bars be open?
