Of all the classic Disney rides to lose Jungle Crusie is the only one I’m ok with.

As long as they don't touch Disneyland's, I'm very ok with it. It stands in the way of a massive project for Magic Kingdom.

As for Tokyo, I'm excited that they're at least throwing it out there that they'll continue to invest into more additions.

Honestly, I'm okay with all this. I don't get the purpose of having a mint condition 1971 Magic Kingdom still sitting in Tokyo at this point when other parks have been able to evolve way past that.

These proposals are little shocking to me but seem on brand to where Tokyo is heading.

I mean looking at their Space Mountain project this definitely seems like wanting to further differentiate their parks from others globally.

Very ambitions plans I might add that would take years to complete if they ever come to fruition.

I guess (in terms of reception) it regards to 1) simply nostalgia, and 2) people generally not liking the changes to the Magic Kingdom in the US (a small minority are already unhappy of the subtle changes to Tokyo Haunted Mansion that implies that the Bride is the US’s Constance), so to them Japan’s version is basically “what the Magic Kingdom should be”.

Omg. How hard was it to book MiraCosta? Crazy how it sells out in seconds every 4 months no matter what.

It was intense. I practiced several nights in a row, both my partner and I had several browsers and devices going, and only one of mine got through almost right away to be able to select a room. I was trembling with nerves as I entered our card information :lmao:.

They were all gone within a few minutes. I did stay on after booking, and a room would open up now and again, up until about 11:20 am JST, and by then it was definitely done.

...I did not realize that it was this intense, and I was hoping to get a MiraCosta room for our honeymoon in April or May (haven't locked dates yet). Is there a site or guide you referenced on how to go about doing this/breaking down when rooms drop?

I'm not the person you quoted but I can tell you what I did! I had a few nights mid week in 2023 and was lucky/skilled enough to get a Porto Paradiso room. Just an incredible experience but man, what a hassle to book it. This was the article I referenced the most. I also had Safari and Chrome open doing the booking in parallel, made sure I was logged into my Disney account already, made sure I was connected to stable Wifi (at Disneyland when I booked funnily enough) and had multiple credit cards available in case the site didn't like one of them. The best thing I did that I'd recommend is to practice making a booking (the sheer ridiculouness of having to *practice* booking a hotel isn't lost on me). Two or three days before my actual 5 month mark, I logged on right at drop time and made a booking right up until I had to put in my card. That was a huge huge help and made my actual day as smooth as things can be.

This article, absolutely!! We got the same exact room/view when we went in November. Thankfully my chase visa was fine booking (I've heard folks have issues with some cards).

Loved our room & view. We stayed a night at Disneyland Hotel too, which also had a killer view. It's too large to share, but I really enjoyed both hotels!

Yes! What they said. That link. Practice. Change the date in the URL. Use multiple devices.

Our Toy Story Hotel booking tonight was just as competitive.
