It's wishful thinking but i think Nintendo's choice to go with Sony for a live action Legend of Zelda film would remind you not to put too much stock into how they approach making movies vs. integrating things into the parks. If the Nintendo worlds in the parks mimicked the illumination movie and had Pratt voicing Mario and Black voicing Bowser and Rogen voicing DK, i think we'd be able to pick up what you're putting down; But that simply isn't the case.
I think this means we'll likely still get the DK movie, and if this and that do well, we might see *him get a movie of his own (which i would be HYPE for, as i'm sure you know from our first discussion on these forums together lol). I imagine Powell signed onto a multi-picture deal, so -if anything- it does point to an Avengers-style Smash movie more than it crosses any literal industry-spanning boundaries -at best.
