If AC isn't a coaster that on itself is on a rotating platform and has 3 inversions it shouldn't be build.
We're taking about Assassins Creed right?

That is why the coaster needs to be on a rotating platform, as in the game your chicken circles around the top as does the camera before your jump.

Realistically Animal Crossing would make a good store based on Nook.

On a podcast I once pitched an indoor Animal Crossing land like the Kung Fu Panda land. It’s indoors so the seasons can change every 20 mins or so. The sky and walls show different clouds and snow leaves etc. the trees are white with led prjections inside to change colors.

The main ride is Kappn’s boat tours that travels around the “island” around the perimeter of the building so you can see the kiddie boat ride from most places but it also has dark ride scenes at the back of the building.

A couple flats in the center too like Kung Fu Panda.

Th shops are based on the game with Nooks for souvenirs and Able Sisters for clothes etc.

You can purchase interactive tools at Nooks that allow you to “collect” items throughout the island like insects with a net or bells with a shovel. Tracked via the app. Use bells to upgrade your tools in the app.

At center of island is the Museum. With interactive exhibits inside and dynamic screen plaques under each exhibit that says username of people who “captured” insects and fish they found that day/week/ etc.

So yea, I think it could work in a theme park.

If Wicked doesn't take over Simpsons, and we're wanting to have something Nintendo in each park, obviously Zelda wouldn't fit but Pokemon is going in IoA, so what goes here?

If Zelda goes to Epic, that kind of throws a wrench in the plans many assumed for Nintendo at various parks, but I'd really love a perpetually indoor Luigi's Mansion mini land somewhere. Ideally Epic to add indoor attractions, but if Zelda goes in the expansion plot, there probably won't be enough room to do it justice. So I'd love to see Luigi's here and maybe Nintendo would even let it play along with HHN, but I can't think of how to do the ride too differently from MIB and I can't see two similar shooters being side by side in the park anyway.

Love this idea so much too. Anything for a well themed indoor land or two. But again, this feels like something Epic or IOA needs more to help with indoor capacity. If there is no other good spot, just stick one of them here though. I think it would be neat to have Nintendo representation in each park.

Might be an impossible bluesky level ask, but give me this with a Test Track 2.0 esque "preshow" with touch screens that allow people to choose a color scheme and maybe basic design type for a standard Animal Crossing house design that can be projection-mapped onto one specific house on the "island". Brings in the big "design your own house" aspect of the game without making the ride all about interaction ala Mario Kart.

Yea that may be too big an ask. But buy certain souvenirs in the theme park island and get a code to scan on your Switch or Switch 2 to get corresponding special furniture to use in the game.

And specifically, Universal-themed furniture, decorations, items, etc. to use on your island, would be a pretty cool and unique tie-in to the game.

The more I keep reading of this conversation expanding on Alicia's already amazing pitch for an AC land, the more I'm going to be heartbroken when it inevitably doesn't happen
I love the idea lol I'm sold. Take my bells!

I'll believe in more non-Mario Nintendo coming to the parks once I see Zelda escape development hell. I am not expecting very much.

Is there any evidence to suggest Zelda has been in "development hell"? Universal's primary focus up until this year has been on Epic, and we are just now starting to see projects start construction at the other parks.

They've been developing and trying to crack Zelda attractions for many, many, many years. So far, only Mario attractions have made it to the finish line.

Which is why my mind keeps circling back to Wicked as the likely contender to replace Simpsons in Orlando. You can do a decent sized attraction in the Simpsons plot + old sprung tents and the overall acreage of Springfield is fitting for the Wicked IP without overcommitting.

I am aware they have been pitching/considering concepts for a Zelda attraction for a while now, but that dose not necessarily mean those efforts have been encountering friction. I don't think any expectation that they would move forward with Zelda before completing development on both the Mario and Donkey Kong areas in Orlando was realistic. It did take 10 years for them to finally materialize in Orlando after all...

I mean, if an attraction is not being green lit and they continue to spend considerable resources to redevelop concepts, it is not overcoming the obstacles needed to reach construction. I don't know that doesn't qualify as friction.

I can be blunter, though: There's been friction. I'm not sure what's gone on in the last year or two, but last I checked, they hadn't cracked something that pleases both Universal and Nintendo.

I wonder if when the time comes for the SNW expansion plot to be filled, they might pivot to some other Nintendo IP over Zelda if its giving them that much trouble to crack the code.

Zelda is a cash cow. I’m sure they’ll keep trying - the almighty dollar (what’s left of it) demands as much

My notion is Universal might be aiming for 2030 or so for EU's first major land expansion. Hopefully that will give them some extra time to finally nail down a concept for Zelda, or if not pivot to another area like dark universe.
