They've been increasing budgets across the board this year, and are actively building a second new attraction. SNW has been moving at a pretty solid pace, but there's only so fast you can go. I think they know what they're doing

Speaking of building new attractions, I wonder if they will move forward on DK soon, if it's happening.

I don't think there's any clue or rumor that the DK attraction might be coming to USH. So far, people have been saying it would be the Mummy building, but that's about it.

I still think it's possible for DK behind Mount Bean Pole.

The Soundstages with red crosses below are already marked for removal for theme park use.
BUT; based on the amount of new soundstages approved/being built elsewhere they could ALSO remove the ones marked with yellow crosses and still keep approx the same number of soundstages on the lot.
This makes much more sense to me for SNW expansion.

It was never going to be in the Mummy building. No idea where you heard that from.

One of the first things I'll be looking for as soon as I enter Nintendo World Hollywood, is to see if there will be that portal entry door similar to the one in Japan that will one day connect both Nintendo World and Donkey Kong. That could be a big clue if Hollywood could also possibly one day get DK:

This really makes Transformers seem incredibly out of place going forward, hah. Honestly, now that it's a decade old and already outdated (IMO) by virtue of the fact they're likely not going to overhaul anything about it to fall more in line with where the franchise is going post-Bumblebee, I wouldn't shed any tears if/when it goes away if it means making that area of the park where the red X's are more cohesive, whether it's for SNW expansion or something else. Preference-wise, I'd prefer, like pointed out, DK goes where the yellows are and something non-Nintendo goes where the red is, but whatever happens, I can't help but feel Transformers might be next in line after the Mummy and Simpsons go and won't live to hit two decades. (But who knows!)

Finally someone who agrees with me that Transformers is outdated  Transformers was great when it opened, but that's because the 3D and screens looked great in 2012 and the only other rides the park had at the time were Simpsons, Mummy, and JP. Now that the park has added a lot more rides since then, the tech and 3D already looks woefully dated. Not to mention the set design for the ride looks bland, uninspired, and minimalistic.....almost as if it was never intended to last long-term. Yet again, it was the last ride designed under GE's reign of terror.

I'm sure USH really hates themselves with the placement of Transformers. Especially since the ride is ripe for a reskin but there's no viable IP to retheme it to other than JW.

Never said it was going to be in the Mummy building, I said that place is the only rumor people are mostly talking about as to where the DK area is gonna be; I didn't mean that's exactly where the DK area may be. Never heard the area might be built behind Transformers, Mummy building, or whatsoever, as it remains to be unknown at this time.

I think the red marks makes sense, there's a whole lot of room enough to fit the DK area, and as long USH can figure out the DK coaster placement around the backlot, the area might be good to go.

Last I heard, those yellow-marked soundstages had a very low chance of going for theme park expansion. If we do get DK, I kinda doubt it'll be connected to SNW proper

I really do wonder what will happen to Mummy. Wouldn't surprise me if it'd be knocked down by now if it weren't for the pandemic, but at a guess (more like I hope) whatever is planned for there, if there is anything, would either be an EU clone or an original

I'm curious about the repaving behind it, where the Klownz maze is going. If they put something action-themed there and moved the tram tour plaza next door, it'd give a nice small bit of cohesion. But for the love of God I hope they redo the facade

Unrelated, but since I don’t think it's been shared here, the construction walls were updated with fresh new panels for Mario and Luigi.

Fun fact: The renders shown on the construction walls are from the 2015 "Nintendo Wii U" game, "Mario Party 10". They are the second remake of some of the renders used in "New Super Mario Bros" for "Nintendo DS"

Very interesting. Also, looks like they started advertising the land on the tour when you pass by the land. Happened on the tour tonight.

I thought we might have seen concept art of the entire land by now like we did for Japan. They surely have some?

Because it is not done. People are only speculating that.

Keep in mind that certain positions, like those in operations, have already been undergoing training for a while

The attractions manager is responsible for working with talent acquisition team to hire staff in Nintendo world. Interesting they would be training if the manager to pick those people has not been hired yet.

I wouldn't exactly call it speculation

talent would probably have more to do with actors, no? anyways, some positions were hired internally a long time ago

The more pics I see of how far along this land is, the more confident I feel for softs around late November.
