I'm not going to lie, this news kinda ruined my day. Lol

SNW is the thing I'm MOST excited about, even more than Star Wars Land. In fact, I created this account just to post on this thread.

I'm still SUPER stocked about the land/Mario Kart though. As a Nintendo child of the 90's, this land is a dream come true. I just got really excited when I heard about DK and how the coaster would "jump" tracks like the game. Oh well. I guess UOR gets all the extra goodies.

Despite what Alex says, I have a feeling it will happen. Chris said this earlier, but Orlando management is in charge now, and they want our park to be just like Orlando. There's space, they'll likely find a way to put it in there.

I also believe that we are still a little early to confirm or deny anything. Once Japan gets further along, we can start to mirror our space available at Universal Studios Hollywood. I hear Japan has gone vertical....which is a good sign.

The more I look into it. The more I believe UC isn't even sure where they're going to put SNW lol. It's definitely too early to confirm anything for Hollywood.

I'm wondering if Diagon will return to it's original rumored location (SS33-44/Mummy), and SNW is being redesigned to fit in a different area (maybe 22-25). That would explain SLOP's sudden relocation to the Globe, as well as the lack of any development on 22-25.

That would also explain the rumor of no DK.

EDIT TO ADD: Actually, I did some rough estimates of space on Scribble Maps. Sorry, I'm bad at posting screenshots on here, but if they moved SNW to the CSI stages and included the 28 plot and the gift shop/Panda Express, it would be just as much,if not more space, than the proposed original plot for Mummy. Maybe we still could get DK?

Diagon Alley Wont be going on the lower lot where SS33-44/ mummy is located that space is for SNW or Another big IP. Diagon Alley will be taking some part of the Studio Tour Lot or probably all of it. But the Harry Potter expansion is coming soon.

I hope a Falls Lake/Diagon Alley comes in the form of a 2nd gate, otherwise the only other possible area would be the Tram Loading/Unloading. This also leaves a huge hole in the Lower Lot where SS22-25 are. It's crazy to think about the huge projects in the works, almost puts WDS's recent announcement to shame.

...Diagon? I am praying that means more towards a second gate as opposed to having a land at the main USH, as that would be somewhat disappointing.

Diagon Alley doesn’t have to go towards a second gate and doesn’t have to be exactly like the Orlando version. Universal Studios Hollywood is a whole different Park and the Hollywood version of Diagon has potential to be better & unique.

From what I heard, Universal City has like 200 more acres (?) of empty land left.

Including the Golf course maybe lol. I don't see how there's anywhere near that much land on property.

IDK, I thought I heard someone saying they should build the 2nd gate. 200 acres seems like a lot of room for that.

Does anyone know if we're still looking at a 2021 opening date for SNW?

It's unlikely Los Angeles will meet the 2021 date. Look it around 2023-25.

Yeah, it's beginning to look like USJ may have this as an exclusive for much longer than initially planned.

I expect construction to start next year. The land should take about 3 years to build. My money is on a 2022 opening.

Yeah, I am guessing that too, either that or it will begin construction later this year for early 2022.
