Yes but those are destinations aimed at adults with more to offer than one attraction. A year round haunt at a family theme park has been historically unpopular at USH. Not saying they won’t do it, but I also wouldn’t hold my breath.

Yeah this is at at young people

And everyone here is mostly old people who don’t like the series or grew up with it, heck comparing it to House of horrors is walking dead shows people here have no idea who FNAF is different

Like I don’t get the harm in trying, people here like don’t want USH to get anything new attraction wise

Everytime someone brings something up it’s all negative and trying to find reasons it can’t work

Orlando is getting one piece and Zelda and USH getting FNAF sounds like a huge win but everyone here is like…I’d rather them do nothing

It’s frustrating being like it could run from noon to 6 pm and people ignore the comment and be like “it can’t work”

Really you think a 6ish hour haunt based on a house that gets 3-4 hours at a paid extra event can’t work?
The same people who said demon slayer would not work at HHN as I see the movie beat every single other animated film this year. It’s just to me a lack of imagination that anything your not into could work

I think you're confusing people not wanting something for people explaining to you why something isn't feasible for the park. I'm a fan of FNAF, but I realize there's a lot of logistical hurdles to operating a year-round haunt here. That said, I think there's other ways they could integrate FNAF into USH outside of HHN.

As far as we are aware, neither of those are in development currently.

What are you talking about? The first game came out in 2014. Most of the people you're talking to were in their early 20s and decidedly did grow up with this game. Additionally, not a single person is denying that Five Nights at Freddy's is popular. That's a straw man you continue to construct because you're incapable of engaging with people on the arguments they're making.

The "harm in trying" is the opportunity cost. If they try for a third (or fourth or fifth time depending on how you're counting!) time to make this happen and it doesn't work they've wasted time and money that could be used to create more impactful additions. If people are being negative to the ideas you bring up, perhaps do some reflection! Could be that the ideas aren't very good!

It is? Sorry, must have missed that announcement! And no one said, "I'd rather them do nothing." People have explained year-round haunt attractions have not worked in the past and as such there is skepticism that it will work in the future. Yes, even with an IP like Five Nights at Freddy's.

Because that isn't a solution to the problems people are bringing up.

No, this is the lazy argument you bring up any time people disagree with you. That everyone else is out of touch and that you, at a listed age of 36, are the only person with your finger on the pulse.

Give it a rest, dude.

Well, the harm in trying is spending money on an attraction and not seeing a ROI which the bean counters would definitely see as a failure.

Also, I never said FNAF wouldn’t work, I just said that walkthrough haunts at USH have a track record of not maintaining their popularity.

Of course FNAF at an extremely popular event like HHN, a destination for fans of the horror genre, will pull huge crowds. That’s what people visit the event for. By that logic alone Terrifier, which is getting massive wait times too, could work at the regular park, but I think we can all agree that wouldn’t work either. People aren’t visiting USH for a walkthrough haunt, they want the rides, the shows and the tour. Again, not saying FNAF couldn’t work, I just don’t see why they would do that when they have seen the past walkthroughs at the park fail.

If I'm Universal, I'm getting my full mileage out of the very expensive Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics I already bought with another house next year to tie into the new film. That will arguably be the litmus test on the IP's staying power - can it sustain this level of demand now that this initial pent-up demand has (theoretically) been sated by a long-awaited HHN house? Stranger Things 1 led to record attendance, but the response to its second year was more muted. The Walking Dead, meanwhile, continued to be a huge draw for multiple years - which eventually led to the permanent installation, even if it came several years too late. I'd look to that playbook.

I find it lazy that people just crap on e try cool idea

We don’t have a haunt event now, how can it hurt to try? They literally aren’t doing it now so could not hurt to try

Especially during the holidays, you think firing Grinchmas and fan fest a FNAF house won’t have a 2 hour wait?

It’s a lack of imagination and it’s just tiresome to come here and see people just not want anything new there is always an excuse why USH can’t do anything and as a person who goes a lot I want more to do and wanting them to try things

They tried FNAF, it worked. They tried anime it worked, fan fest was a great new even and it worked

HHN has never been more successful and it’s because they tried things Jason is the only classic IP and the event is packed.

Fortune favors the bold and it’s been working so keep being bold and listen to fans and they will successful

I see more movies from universal then Disney at this point now let’s find a way to get these characters in the park

Who is crapping on the IDEA? All I’ve seen is people saying that those attractions can open with massive popularity and then dwindle down to a perpetual walk on within months of opening.

And who is saying they don’t want anything new at USH? Just cuz they don’t think what you are proposing would work does not equal not wanting new things at the park.

I’m as big a FNAF fan as you can find, but I don’t think making it a year long thing makes any sense. Having UBE taken up would mean we don’t get anything there for FFN or HHN next year, which would just flat out suck. Especially for FFN, which only has two “house” venues currently.

The best option for making FNAF a permanent or semi permanent attraction would be to retheme a restaurant to Freddy’s, and make it an actual recreation of the pizzeria complete with the animatronics performing. I don’t think there’s any space for this in USH and it would be complicated, but I think food/photo-ops/m&gs is the future for FNAF in the parks, not keeping the house open.

We made it. A whole eight days without incident.

I miss the days of last week when the latest crash out would be regarding hotels.

I’m gonna be real: if they did come out and announce another year-round haunt for USH, I will be very disappointed. Sure it will be cool for the first couple of months, but after that, years will go by knowing that it’s space that could be used for an HHN house. It’s a waste of space and resources IMO.

If you really want to get your year-round haunt fix that badly, then just drive a few hours up to Vegas. That what that place is for!

That’s why they built it in the first place lol.

Also the logistics of a year round haunt I think is something they also don’t want to bring up again. weird times for the maze to be open is also what killed walking dead.

Uhhh. This forum is mostly comprised of young people, and primarily male. There's only a couple posters near my age bracket, and a handful
, or two, of 40 and 50 somethings. IU forum posters is skewed young males, and not really representative of the general population. Kind of
the opposite of what you're saying.
