What are you talking about? The first game came out in 2014. Most of the people you're talking to were in their early 20s and decidedly did grow up with this game. Additionally, not a single person is denying that Five Nights at Freddy's is popular. That's a straw man you continue to construct because you're incapable of engaging with people on the arguments they're making.
The "harm in trying" is the opportunity cost. If they try for a third (or fourth or fifth time depending on how you're counting!) time to make this happen and it doesn't work they've wasted time and money that could be used to create more impactful additions. If people are being negative to the ideas you bring up, perhaps do some reflection! Could be that the ideas aren't very good!
It is? Sorry, must have missed that announcement! And no one said, "I'd rather them do nothing." People have explained year-round haunt attractions have not worked in the past and as such there is skepticism that it will work in the future. Yes, even with an IP like Five Nights at Freddy's.
Because that isn't a solution to the problems people are bringing up.
No, this is the lazy argument you bring up any time people disagree with you. That everyone else is out of touch and that you, at a listed age of 36, are the only person with your finger on the pulse.
Give it a rest, dude.
