You get to use one. I don't think you get to keep one.

Looking at the patents for this, I’m doubtful the design could stand up to impacts. Probably why the art shows you deflecting lasers from a training drone

Cool effect tho

I think it’s more likely that the blade just can’t handle any form of impact. It’s basically a glorified tape measure, and kids (and adults) would absolutely start sword fighting with them and breaking them

Adults, too.

I’ll never forget during SWW seeing a dad with his two boys say (loudly) “let’s go fight Darth Vader!” as he walked by with character attendants, and, well, you can imagine how well that ended.

I'm sorting this into the "I'm sure someone will really enjoy this" category

I'm starting to think I'm just not that big of a fan of Star Wars haha

Hearing one of the women say that she watched the original movies with her dad made me give a spark of hope but when she continued ...but the new trilogy pulled me in, I was out.

While the new trilogy is all over the place, it doesn’t mean people don’t enjoy it. I’m not a fan of gatekeeping a franchise because it’s not the originals. I didn’t like the last movie, but loved Last Jedi. Probably more than one the originals.

I don't know "people" but this one just hates bad movies and the Disney trilogy is objectively bad.

Last Jedi is the first Star Wars movie I legitimately enjoyed, so I’m going to have to disagree with you saying “objectively” on that.

I would go as far as to say that, if it wasn't a Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi would be considered an "objectively" great movie.
