Teebin, here's a solution to your heads in the way AR issue:

First 8 secs of this video is quite interesting... Still a work in progress, but the technology is getting there.

Pokémon E-ticket, if they wanted to go the easy route, could just be a safari that goes horribly wrong, like Kong, but Pokémon instead. I know I would ride that in a heartbeat and not care at all that it’s basically Kong/Spider-Man

And it's going to roll faster and faster with each new generation that comes through.

NO, we already have:
Spiderman
Kong
Forbidden Journey(kinda)
Gringotts
Fallon
Minions
Simpsons
Transformers
F&F
do we count Shrek?

I would very much be happy if Universal could avoid having rides largely consisting of looking at a screen, let's get some innovation PLEASE.
(BTW, sorry for :horse: but I just realized how many of these rides there actually are in UOR)

He's talking about the feel of the ride, not the same kind of ride.

ok sorry, I just don't want anyone giving up and saying "well I want this property so bad you can just put in a bad ride with the name and I'll be happy"

To bring something up, Theme Park University picked up an article on a MK ride system rumor, the Duel GP.

I mean, I don't think many of the rides you listed are anywhere near "bad" though

Very cool ride system... Although it's making me sick just looking at it.

Anyone know the manufacturer of this thing?

I do not believe this is what MK will be using. Not based on what I've been hearing anyway.

I don't believe the manufactuer has been said, and while I have actually heard of this being used in the past, but with 4 seats instead of 2, I don't believe it will be the ride system either.

That ride system looks bad...so I really hope not. I'm hoping we have to pay more attention to the scenery and the scenes rather than trying to control our kart

I would love to see a below ground bus bar. Would be great if they could spin in circles like that... at a controlled point in the ride!

If Mario Kart is anything like this, I'm one of the few they won't have to worry about riding. This looks like a horrible experience.

listen, I've grown up with these rides, and I do have love for them, but I like the practical rides better than almost all of the rides I listed, see my post on the favorites/least favorites thread.

That's not it exactly, that's more of a go kart mixed with a spinning coaster. I think MK would not be guest driven as they'd have to hit show effect intervals like with FJ.

But one of the things that makes Pokemon a bit unique is the constant addition of characters; if there's a way to make an experience that can change easily to incorporate different groups of the 800+ Pokemon and introduce some "replayability" then it makes sense to have something like that.
