Old universal vs new universal. They redid hulk yes, but I’m sure keeping the marvel license played a roll. Look at DC going bye bye for a better themed ride.

Different. Also, JP is already a mess. Let’s at least have fun things to do.

So people are okay with seeing a castle from inside JP, but seeing a roller coaster from inside Hogsmeade is out of the question?

I had a daydream about them building a B&M wing coaster, and modeling the seats to resemble the Gyrospheres from JW.
Theme a little bit before the lift/launch, then it's a nice jaunt around the waterfront by the DC and back.
A Flying Dinosaur clone wouldn't fit in IOA's JP, and there's no wing coasters in FL yet, so it'd be smart for them to jump on it when they can.

 One further step, the entire park has been designated as a National Historic Monument. Kennywood has many unique attractions that no longer exist anywhere else, which shows how good maintainance is essential. They are Parques Reunides' flagship park. They open their new Thomas the Train land in a few weeks, which will be the second largest TT area in existence. And conjecture has a new coaster coming in 2019. But, our climate in this area is more conducive to wooden coasters longevity than Florida. While they can certainly be built in Florida, the elements aren't very friendly to them....And our good friend from England, UK Trigg, will be here in a couple of months to ride those classic wooden coasters, plus the thrilling steel coasters too......I'd prefer IOA Jurassic go with a steel coaster, even though I prefer wooden, since I think steel is better in lieu of the Florida climate.

Have they made the Gravy Fries from The Potato Patch a National Treasure yet? :eat: Jack Rabbit is one of my favorite coasters anywhere. It looks like a kiddie coaster until you hit the Double Down. Wow, not a kiddie coaster. The fact you don't hit the lift hill until half way through the ride is really unique. 1920.

I get you would see this out back from hogsheads and such, but would you really see this from Hogsmeade?

Never said that was okay. Just because the Castle’s visible doesn’t mean we’re all of a sudden going to be ok with making things worse.

The Thunderbolt just turned 50 and boy was that a ride, especially through "the bowl"

I was never opposed to this ride but this picture really shows you the scale of the attraction. Compared to an already tall building like JPRA, this ride is way too visible for the land. Being 35ft taller than the Hulk it would be seen from anywhere in the park, and especially hogsmeade which is a no go for me.

I've never been one of these "you ruined the sight line!" people, but yeah, that looks terrible.

Too bad the Florida weather is so unkind to wooden coasters. Something along these lines would look decent, and fit in well, aesthetically, in Jurassic Park. I can picture something like this winding through the forested jungle areas of Jurassic. And the best seating on this coaster is the last row. Lots of surprise airtime. Rode this, Racers & Thunderbolt last month. Thunderbolt is still one of the most 'fun' coasters I've ever rode anywhere. All those coaster enthusiast organizations show up every year to reride these classics. Great maintainance, always looks new. And yes, Potato Patch Fries, the first of a now vastly copied style, should be a National Treasure.

I personal hope they don't go the large B&M coaster route for this attraction. Keep the coaster closer to the ground and have it weave it's way through the land so that it complements it's surroundings not dominate it.

If only they had a little room left over on the Kong plot :( then they probably wouldn’t have to go above the tree-level as much.

Seriously. 1/2 of Jurassic Park is wasted space. I'm not gonna complain if that changes and we get a great new coaster in the process.

There's a way to do a balanced, well designed, aesthetically pleasing coaster that goes over the water and in front of the Discovery Center as viewed from Port of Entry. Plus that's one hell of a weenie.

Ah, not much to ruin in Japan. That's par for the course and the previous photo was actually being generous. The entire park sits below a major bridge.

Personally I think the biggest ball drop was the location of kong. It’s not an isolated island and it takes up any bit of space to expand JP closer to toon lagoon and prevents Toon lagoon from expanding at all. Terrible location for the ride.

Wanted to say the same thing. Toon Lagoon unless replaced with something relevant, isn’t getting expanded.

Surprisingly, Toon Lagoon doesn't get brought up much in the rumor mill.
