I think toon lagoon is too awkward of a spot with kong in the way. I really think they're either gonna turn everything into JW or keep it JP. Seriously no other way around it

Kong is more or less self contained, though. A tiny bit awkward maybe, but who really cares?

Well kongs theming is pretty similar to JP's, having two JP's with a huge temple in the middle might lead some to think it's apart of JP, which is a problem. That and who wants IOA to be 1/3 jungle?

Comcast greenlight the dino pettting zoo....I wanna complain about being too tall to ride a triceratops and hug a apatosaur too tightly

$511 million dollar opening weekend, most popular film in every country it opened in. They'd be insane not to do something big to take advantage of all that. And I too wonder if there are at least some tinges of regret over locating Kong there.

Well it's just confusing to say the least, that and it conflicts seperate themes. Comparing AK and IOA is like comparing apples and oranges. AK is all about wildlife and animals, jungles should be plentiful. IOA is basically cool IPs with a subtle island theme to them. It should stay diverse in theming, makes for a cooler and more interesting park. TL is admitably tacky but atleast it's something unique and different compared to the rest of the islands. Having essentially two JPs is a waste of time and space. Just make one big awesome one and save toon lagoon for a rainy day

Toon Lagoon should be save for a future project, One unexpected way to bring JW to JP without having to have major construction is to make the whole place look abandoned and serve as the ruins for the original park lol. Is kinda like pulling a Disney move, don't forget to advertise it as a brand new island and largest expansion on IOA history.

Typo..i meant they should greenlight but I would expect them to do it anyways as it would be cheaper than a major attraction and relatively small footprint.

I'm expecting something a long the lines of Springfield at the studios...no new 'rides', but new eateries, signature drinks, etc..

I think it would be fun if they had an abbreviated Margaritaville 'bar-only' in Jurrassic Park as well

I have yet to see the film, but we already know something's coming our way with this iconic opening, and we have the space for something great and impactful if Universal wisely considers the transition from JP to JW. Universal has proven that even with minimal space, something great can be achieved. I don't even think TL has to be cut; remember, vertical space can do great things.

I'm thinking Gyrosphere tour above guest pathways, ending at small showbuilding at southern edge of Trice plot, that includes an intense 3D-wraparound scene with motion base. Add a small Main Street with various cool ways to spend money on novelties, including that Margaritaville bar. Sprinkle in an updated first floor to the Discovery Center for hi-tech lab tours. Shake it all off with a full JPRA redo scenery-wise, and you can already smell the revenue and dino poop. One new and one updated E-ticket, well themed stores and snack spots, interactive spots for all ages. It fits the proven WWoHP mold.

Totally Agree... Make More Space by taking out Camp Jurassic. Its getting a little old and dated. Integrate a new playground into the expansion to make the area flow a little better. Perfect!

From Yahoo Movies:

Producer Frank Marshall states that the public may be getting a gyrosphere experience at some point as discussions have been held about bringing it to life to Universal Orlando

Whenever I see the Gyrospheres, i always think of these for some reason. I know Universal would never use these, but think of the possibilities.

That is awesome. I could really see it becoming the TTA for Jurassic Park, an elevated track with a tour of the whole island, while using some of the Trike land to show some indoor show segments (Mr. DNA?). They're already in bed with Jimmy Fallon; he could do the tour narration. Or better yet, could you imagine if they could hire a Richard Kiley soundalike to do the narration?

My gut tells me somewhere between $800k and $1.1b just based on the cinema climate right now and what's coming up over the next few weeks.

I'm almost embarrassed by my previous guess. Considering the record breaking weekend, I would say that this may end up being in the top 5 highest grossing films of all time. Something comfortably in the $1.6b range.

It's too bad they couldn't do a Hogwarts Express-style monorail from Jurassic Park in IoA over to a new Jurassic World in USF.

If I were UC, I'd call a meeting tomorrow and say "OK, what's the quickest way we can incorporate Jurassic World into Jurassic Park?"

Start with Visitor Center and Camp Jurassic IMO. Also, ditch the Spino and get a I-Rex photo-op going stat!

Maybe they regret using the plot for Kong now instead of Dudley or somewhere else..

While that would be interesting, it would be rather odd to have ANOTHER train-like transportation between parks, especially in sections that are right next to each other.
