It makes a lot of sense they're covering the queues there this year, you could say it's for the sun during Stay and Scream, but it can also very well be due to rain as that area did run into a fair share of puddles last year.

Oh interesting, this is from speaking to Lora Sauls during her UK trip. I wonder if it's changed since then.

I know I've harped on Universal on this for the last few years now, so it's fantastic to see them start to improve/invest on the guest experience. S&S and those queues were becoming unbearable as the event got closer to the hotter months, so it's good to see them evolve.

Sometimes the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing at Universal. Themed Retail is tangentially connected to A&D, but is more closely tied with Retail and Operations than A&D itself. Something could have changed, Lora could have been presuming, a lot of possibilities.

Any sources on pics for the queue tents for the big tents? I can't find any visuals on it and would love to see how they look.

I’m worried that this new location spells the end for the highly themed tribute stores

I think this is just a temporarily solution while the Rockit area construction is underway. I'm just glad they didn't scrap it altogether. Hopefully next year things will be a little more "back to normal".

And speaking of the Rockit area, has there been any new info/talk about how the soundstage queues are gonna be laid out this year? I think that's the last big "ops" thing I'm still curious about.

I wouldn’t say much of what we have seen so far with tribute stores suggests the end of them, I’ve assumed Hollywood is being set aside for Christmas and the turnaround would be too quick.

The tents have shown us they have no issue making us walk, so I assume we get a few joint portals that split further down the line and walk wider around the construction area.

I know the coaster is always going to come first but you have to assume there’s been some conversations about how to strategically time the demolition with the queue paths, it’s fairly likely we see it change halfway through the event.

Yeah the queue situation is very interesting to me. I imagine we see a portal at the HRRR entrance - could we maybe see more than 1 at the plaza stage, with the queue space split?

I have two models for how I believe this will work, the color pattern for both is the same:
Black - Hub line
Blue - Wyatt Sicks
Brown - FNaF
Red - Terrifier
Orange - Grave of Flesh
Yellow - Exit for WWE, FNaF and Artista
Green - Exit for Terrifier and Grave (returns you to hub)

Option A has 4/5 soundstage houses entering by Minion Mayhem then splitting off at a hub, with El Artista being the only one to enter through the plaza, while Option B has 3/5 soundstage houses entering by Minion Mayhem, with El Arista entering through the plaza, and Wyatt Sicks off to the side through the RRR entrance.

What would a mini-hub, like they have out back behind MiB, between SS20/SS21/SS22/SS22A?

My out of the park guess is we seem them focus all (most) work on taking down the station so at least for the start of the event we see everything directed away from this.

The alternative is track first but then that’s demoing all of the footers which is way more spread out.
