Why they still offer Express with multi-nights is bizarre.

I think mullt-night tickets are critical to the success of HHN (like annual passes are for the regular parks) so that option still needs to exist. I think reservations are the best way to do it. Annoying, but it still allows you the option to do so. I also think allowing them to visit without a reservation after 10 or 11PM would keep the event busy until 2AM once those early birds who stay & screamed start to leave.
I have to comment on this- it would be a REAL issue if they removed express from multi-night tix. Again, we travel for four weekends throughout the total event. We are only attending 8-10 nights out of the 40 or so we could be going if we lived there. It is usually two nights each time we are there except the final weekend where we may go 3-4 times. That really isn't a lot considering the length of the event, so we really need express. Plus, even though I can walk almost 20,000 steps per night no problem, I'm old, and the standing around in line for hours would kill me. There are more things to consider here.

I've said before that they should build some kind of travel pass then. I'd happily give my dates ahead of time and then build the pass around that. Same thing - I buy FFP+ but I in no way use it for its full capacity. That knowledge would help Uni sell more knowing which nights we AREN'T there.

Lastly, you guys think the stilt walkers are done in scarezones?? That is truly depressing! They have always been my favorites in the SZ. It adds so much to it all. Ugh.. I'm gutted.

I think a type of "travel" multi night pass would be nice - or like mentioned before, just structuring them like park tickets. 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, etc - with the price per day decreasing as you add more days.

With the rumors recently of HHN Hollywood getting Poltergeist, do we think Orlando will as well or it will be a Hollywood exclusive this year? I know @Legacy said on Blusky that he heard that it’s coming to Hollywood but nothing about it coming to Orlando. Thoughts?

As one of my top 3 houses ever I’ll be happy to see it return, just hope it’s not a let down if it does. Maybe it’s the ghost and magnifying glass on HNN spec map. But as Legacy says he hasn’t heard anything about it coming to Orlando I don’t think that’s the case as if I recall he has a say in the Nightmares spec maps.
IMG_0637.jpeg

Also looks like a facade in Hollywood is the same as 2018s poltergeist. So it looks like they’ll get it. I won’t post that here as that’s Hollywood but if u want to see it check out the Hollywood thread!

Neo is arguing that they could have spent more money at Universal, versus budgeting around last minute hotels and flight costs. While UOR knows fans are going to come at some point in the event no matter what, it's not out of the question to consider the impact of ticket release timing on in-park/event spending.

If I had to take a flight somewhere, and it increased $200 more than before, I'd probably take that $200 from my existing budget versus spending more. $200 less in merch/F&B/unmasking tours like Neo mentioned, etc.

This is where Universal (as today shows) needs to improve on communication in advance of ticket sales.

HHN no longer solely relies on local fans who repeat visits... yet the FF pass system still reflects that. I'd completely remove the add-on express option from every pass level and simply offer a discount on a nightly basis. I'd also clean up the ticketing structure

Rush of Fear - access starts the 2nd week of the event, ends the 4th week on Sunday. Reservation required before 10PM
Frequent Fear - reservation required before 10PM, no Saturdays*
Ultimate Frequent Fear - no reservations, access all days

Also free parking for all passes. I think it's ridiculous they wait until midnight to make it free.

I'd also replace the HHN Preview Night with a Media Night to avoid capacity constraints from RIP tours for the first weekend. (Not removing RIP tour entirely, just limiting access to reduce the strain it causes on the event)

There were a few Fridays/Sundays that were somewhat quieter last year while most Wed-Thr nights were chaotic. So provide the opportunity for people to visit on Fridays/Sundays who typically couldn't because of their pass level should help spread crowds out more.

UOR could obviously limit capacity in advance on busier single-night ticket days to fluctuate demand.

This may not be right solution, but something needs to change unfortunately.

i would be perfectly fine with free parking starting at 10 pm instead of midnight, that's good enough.
but the midnight parking makes part of me kinda not wanna return? ( I know there are other ways of visiting that doesn't involve paid parking including getting the highest ffp ticket, or parking outside universal, it taking a bus, I get it...I know I get it)
but I'm just waiting until universal just completely removes all free parking. just do it, just rip the band aid, let's just stop pretending and just remove all free parking. let's just get it over with. just erase all free parking, what difference does 2 hours at midnight make?

it's the same with the constant FFP hate from everyone and the constant threat of changing the ffp or removing it. just do it. universal, let's just get it over with lol. just remove all weekends from it or something. it's not financially smart to give all those days away with the regular FFP passes,

The best thing they did was changing the parking time to midnight.

The amount of people who are dissuaded because of this has to be minimal compared to the crowds that still arrive before that time.

I still think the best solution is to completely remove the ability for locals to visit without some sort of advanced notice (I hate saying that as a local who gets UFF each year). The last weekend of RoF passes has become unbearable as a guest and I can't imagine what their ops team feels like after that weekend.

I'd love for them to test a no express add on with multi-night tickets before they do something drastic like reservations though.

I agree it makes little sense, but I assume it's Corporate trying to put a positive spin on sending TMs home at midnight because there's no longer money to be made.

Purely a cash grab. They saw the rush after 8 when they stopped charging at 8, then saw it move to 10 after they stopped charging at 10. If $$ made on guests > TM costs those final two hours, there would be no free parking.

What else can we call last year? Severely limited sales, Express lines weren't as long. The next logical step is to jack the price up to keep sales down.

crowds wise yeah, I can see how it made a huge difference. it probably made a huge impact,

but I feel like the teen trouble got worse after that? it forced everyone to be dropped off at 6 or 7 pm but their families? sometimes it felt like removing free parking at 10 just made younger people get rides earlier,

bush gardens and sea world don't offer any free parking, I don't think any other park besides uni does ( not Disney during October ) uni could just remove it completely. it wouldn't change much

it would also force me to get ultimate frequent fear pass and visit every day

Still in agreement here - and it's not to say that locals CAN'T just randomly decide to go. They'd just have to check availability ahead of time (which, let's be honest, how often does a night actually sell out?)

Orlando has only ever repeated an exact house once. I’m not sure the probability of that ever happening again but if it did it would be for something as popular as poltergeist was.

That being said I think it’s more likely this is an exclusive.

I agree it's probably a HHNH exclusive epically as @Legacy has only heard about it being at HHNH. Poltergeist was a very popular house like AWiL was and might be a repeat just like AWil was. With that being said I doubt it will.

Also, the magnifying glass with the ghost seems to fit Poltergeist well. My doubt on that is that it is on both maps while @Legacy said he only hear about it being on one coast.

I love Poltergeist and the 28 house was an all timer. So if there was ever a IP that would warrant a repeat that would be one of them.

But I feel like, if it was coming back, there would be a lot more noise around it by now than there currently seems to be.

Wow... a Mel's Drive In house or zone paired with Meetz Meatz would be amazing.

I see people at the parks post HHN wearing the Mel's shirt more than the event one

While it's by no means confirmed, of course, a Mel's Die-In zone featuring skating monstrous bussers would legitimately be really fun.

Screamhouse wasn’t exactly the same those two years. Everything after the from the autopsy room one was completely different.
