What if they do Phantom of The Opera but its not the french Phantom of the Opera but New Orleans set....and that acts as the music house as well with a custom soundtrack by a artist that is Soul/Funk inspired with a hint of darkness.

I think they’re more likely to go with the 1925 silent film if the Phantom is next. The 1923 Hunchback movie is the first Universal Monster, so we could see a crossover with those characters.

Imagine... the Weeknd returns, we get something extra like Metallica or slipknot for a scarezone, and we have the phantom of the opera.
The theme would write itself, ( or not Metallica but even if they bring back Vamp scarezone as a musical zone)
It would be pretty cool if everything aligned for a musical theme year. Add some kind of musical character ( like pumpkin lord but for music) it would be so great.

Zombie Mozart? An evil conductor of Fear (with evil instruments)? Rob Zombie as the icon? Rap Master Freddy?

just lil boo with a little flute or harmonica

i actually never understood why the universal monsters themselves arent used as hhn icons, or variations of them. maybe icons need to be original or unique? is it a rights issue with the creators?
but Phantom of the opera would be a cool icon. that would be so cool. imagine the merch

I always want another Vamp scarezone as a continuation of the last one that is set in 99. Grunge and Nu-Metal type vampires are a must in my book.

My wishes for a zone have been either Vamp 95 or Vamp 75!

I think it’s the originality shtick. Which is absolute bull, since there was Cryptkeeper in 1995 and Hollywood showed that licensed icons could be successful with Freddy and Jigsaw in 2008 and 2009.

If they have a Phantom icon they should keep the original design for the character. Hard to top the Lon Chaney look.

there are so many possibilities, even if uni wants to have more diverse acts than metal, they can have boy band vampires and spice girls vamps in the mix. and the macarena, or hip hop.... it could truly be amazing. theres just so much.

i know comparing movies to music bands is impossible, i know, but i think ghost is more known than trick r treat or killer klowns, as far as general culture (not just horror fans) at least right now. Ghost even had their logo added to a NASCAR car lol.
i think they are big enough for a zone (and for the people that dont know them, they look scary and creepy

Ghost's most played song on Spotify is Mary on a Cross with 183m with only a couple of other songs over the 100m threshold. I'd argue differently.

Besides, Trick R Treat and Klowns were ancillary properties meant to support the headliners that, at its core, can still be explained as "Traditional Halloween" and "Scary Alien Clowns".

We're getting into "I like this band so they should come" territory. I think using the "Super Bowl Halftime performer?" as a metric is a good starting point.

If they could give us zones like they did this year at 32 as well, then it would be a win.
I wasn’t a huge fan of 31s houses, but the zones made up for it. They were all great.

Also, worth mentioning that FNaF has a filming date of the 1st of February. Films don’t usually take to long to film (though it does depend on the circumstances) Blum has said that 2023 is likely for it’s release but could change.

Scott Cawthon has seen to favor Halloween releases so I think it’s likely to see the film release around October of next year. But we should not expect the house to be revolved around just the film, the games will have much more material and iconic characters that will work as well if not better then the film for translation.

As much as some people share there distaste of FNaF on the forum, I will say if you gave some of the games a chance, your outlook may change.

But to have the Last of Us and FNaF in the same year?
That’s where things get interesting…

If Ghost happens I think that it'll be in USH, they're much larger in the LA horror scene than anywhere else.

Still couldn’t get into FNAF. Not because I dislike it, but because I’m more a console gamer than mobile. But if we get that kind of IP, then I would get into it a little than before.

I had a wild thought for a post-apocalyptic themed year with Eddie as the icon and NIN blaring everywhere

But that's another story for another thread

NIN are great and Trent Reznor is a great composer for film, game, and media

Would love to see Universal collab with him, at the very least on an in park loop

A post-apocalyptic themed year with Eddie as the icon would be my dream year honestly. Add in the NIN soundtrack as the cherry on top and *chef's kiss*.

I can picture all the scare zones having a cohesive theme of areas of a city or even various cities, towns, etc. to give it some variety, all in various apocalyptic states. Could create an insanely atmospheric event.

Video game year with a killer-gamer icon? Sign me up

In all seriousness, I know TLOU last year seems to have been DoD miscommunication. However - the games are wildly popular, it's getting an HBO Max series, the creators said they'd love to have a house AND I have to imagine Universal saw some of the excitement online when it showed up on a spec map.

All that combined, I really could see them pulling the trigger on bringing TLOU to HHN.

Maybe that's just my hopes and dreams talking.

Except FNaF isn't really a mobile game. It was released on PC originally. It's designed around mouse and keyboard and sort of emulates old adventure games in terms of controls with a tower defense style gameplay with a horror theme. They have been released on mobile, yes. But they are not mobile games.

That being said they are on console now.

I don't want this to come off as me being a jerk. Just wanted to clear that up.
