I still have no reason to believe the event HAS to go two-park. If what I've been told is correct, they don't seem to be planning to.

Really? If Shrek, Parade, & B108 are the House locations that do end up leaving then we’re gonna have a huge imbalance of houses in the front of the park and houses in the back area.

Then in theory, you could add two new tents in the back of the park, presumably around the area's of Mummy/Supercharged and around Soundstage 24.

As far as the third..that depends.

I've literally made maps of all the possible places I can spot at a glance for houses. It will be fine.

Since 25 was my first year, I never experienced HHN at IOA, but I’ve always been amazed how they made the Discovery Center work as a house

Picture 25% of the crowd we have now...Discovery Center downstairs has a ton of room surprisingly...The Popeye queue was a much more impressive practice of "squeezing a house in"

I'm not sure IOA would add what people think it would add....The park is much more narrow and not really built for events....It would end up causing a bottleneck for two or three more house locations

HHN 25 was exactly what I expected...Jack, reunion house, chaos, references in other houses....I expect 30 to be similar, but we'll see

Yep, that's why I like the idea of it...Some new and fresh challenges

I’d rather not have an anniversary house at 30. They should be allowed to do more originals than at 25, yes? They NEED to do sequels to houses from 21, can’t believe they haven’t done any sequels to any of those houses yet.

Actually, I think I might have an idea of why 30 could be divisive. And it has to do with a certain bear...and I don’t mean HHNBear. :(

I could be wrong, of course. Just making a guess.

Of course, I would consider 28 to have been a fairly divisive year as well—some considering it a mediocre descent into family friendliness, others a return to original greatness.

Fans are developing too much of a "30 has to have X and Y and Z" mindset. That's where the divisiveness will come in.

Not to jump the gun, here's what I expect to see at 30:

Stranger Things
An anniversary house
The Walking Dead (based on the upcoming movies)
A Terra Cruentes house

Didn’t you say that assuming they keep the house count at or above 10 it would be at least 50 percent originals? As much as I hate TWD, it is a part of HHN history, and a good way to spread the budget for 13 houses if that rumor is true.

I would be absolutely BAFFLED if they didn't bring ANY of the (non-Thing) houses from 21 back, since they haven't already. It was such an acclaimed year.

A Terra Cruentas house--beyond just the Gentlemen--would make up for that, though. That website was my introduction to the world of HHN. I was completely enthralled by it.

I could totally see one of the 21 houses coming back for the “requel” house this year, my bet would be Nightengales or Inbetween; those seem to be the 2 most talked about from 21.

*not from 21 but I would LOVE to see Orfanage or Catacombs given another go.

Edit - Also are TWD movies being released to theaters or AMC? Can’t really see them being box office hits unless they take the series back to its earlier seasons styles

I was about to say, anniversary years are tough due to fans expectations. Be it as you pointed out, what they want to see. Or when a lineup is announced, what they're hoping it'll turn out to be, especially if it's a series they really enjoy.

By all accounts, both Sweet 16 and 25 were well received, with their strengths overcoming whatever weaknesses the respective years had. XX on the other hand, that's so far the anniversary year which has suffered the most from overhype and fan expectations.

I mean a house that incorporates all of Terra Cruentes. Basically a house that tells the story of the Gorewood Blade and the sacrifice of the Queen.

They’re already thinking this far ahead for 30? That’s practically 2 houses already in early development(ST3 being the other)

I mean, why wouldn't they want to plan out an anniversary year?

...Yeah, that makes sense. It also was kind-of what I am not going to be shocked to see, especially TWD.

They are. I actually started hearing directions it COULD take in 2017. That doesn't mean I know anything about it. I just got my first sourced rumor for two houses this year today.

Why would they wait on planning an anniversary year? Hell, it makes a lot of sense, considering that if I'm not mistaken; 25 was being developed quite a bit in advance, due to the planning.

...that said, using the Terra Cruentes and Terra Queen makes sense from a fan appeal.
