Hopefully they will fill in the black walls from the 2018 edition (Orlando won that maze comparison by a good margin). It was crazy how Orlando started their maze at the end with the swimming pool with it raining as well. Not expecting anything at that level, at least put scary preacher pictures on the black walls.

Oh man, I forgot I saw that on video, I was beyond jealous of their maze compared to ours.

I did Orlando first that year, so it ruined Hollywood for me lol. I was able to do the behind the screams tour for Poltergeist too, got a good look at it.

Or... it could just be a panel to discuss the event on both coasts? There doesn't have to be an announcement!

I mean, it opens a month from tomorrow… it could just be general discussion but we don’t know any SZ’s on either coast and only 4/8 houses + the tram for USH, I’d be shocked if there isn’t some announcement every time they speak at a panel from now on

EDIT: what am I talking about and why did I say that so confidently… its july. I’ve completely lost track of time idk if I thought it was august or what but disregard everything I just said

Yeah, as a friendly reminder, Orlando's HHN starts August 29th, less than two weeks from this panel. Everything is already going to be announced by then.

As @Clive said, the panel is most likely them generally discussing the events this year.

Along with this, last time they did a dual-coast panel in 2018 they didn't announce anything there either aside from ""leaking"" the trick r treat scarezone for hollywood.
Probably safe to expect most of it to be discussing shared IPs, doing questions, and showing off makeup/mask molds like they did back then.

What I tell ya

But seriously I hope they really make the most out of this. I didn’t think last year’s tram was memorable at all. I will say the Blumhouse IP options this year are stronger IMO.

If it was up to me, the Tram would be an original every year and serve as the anchor point for the overarching story of that year across the SZ’s and original houses. Of course, USH doesn’t really do lore like that, but it would be cool

I get the sense the focus on the panel will be Terrifier. David Howard Thornton is at MSS, Damien Leone doesn't have any con appearances planned either. Would make sense if Aiello + Murdy had a full panel chat with the two to talk about Terrifier at HHN in a more "in-depth" and focused form.

Add that, alongside maybe a look into Poltergeist (if only because it'd be really funny if the second time Aiello comes for a MSS panel, it is with Poltergeist as part of it), and that would be a solid HHN panel.

ETBH 2 will be dope. IP TTs is the way to go. I don’t want a trilogy but I don’t have an issue with a sequel.

It would be dope to have an IP announcement for July 4th.

Eh, I’m apathetic about the Tram. I never have any high expectations for it, so if it’s good, it’s good.

FNAF and Fallout must’ve been crazy expensive if they’re reusing Blumhouse for the tram, Poltergeist, Scarecrow, and La Llorona from Monstrous.

I am of...two minds on this.

One: I actually really liked Enter The Blumhouse last year. I liked the idea of a revolving door of IP corned with a "Gauntlet" style format. It felt like a shot in the stomach that the TT needed--if only that the problems with it lied with short construction times and that it felt more like walking by setpieces without the potential intensity that a gauntlet could have.

Two: They should've opted to have a different theme that could've honed in further on what the "Revolving Door with the Gauntlet" could do, that could've allowed them to highlight multiple things alongside original concepts as a whole. Chucky's Revenge in 2010 while predomimently focused *on* Chucky; oddly found a surprising middle ground with the La Llorona forest walk as it added a pallete cleanser and was in doing so due to the hazards of that location, being unironically one of the scariest things I have ever done in HHN. It felt like you were actually in a place that you shouldn't of been in.

I wonder what the Blumhouse IP pull will be this year. The Black Phone 2, M3GAN 2.0 (you could even include S0ULMAT3 as part of it), and The Purge make sense. Insidious would too if it's as a result of them wanting to reuse assets, but I oddly hope we see some outlier IP's.

SAW comes to mind once again, but if they wanted to include more of Scott Derrickson; Sinister would also be great. Or if they wanted to pull from Atomic Monster, Malignant would be a fantastic choice too.

Realistically, I wouldn't expect to see any Blumhouse properties that Universal doesn't have a stake in. There's a reason we continue to mostly see the same pool of properties in these compilations.
