Two questions and forgive me if they have already been answered.

1. What was the point of expanding the main building where the load and un-load is?

2. Why in the world is the maintenance building so massive? Do they plan on having 10 trains? lol

1. This is just my theory, but they may’ve pushed out that will in order to put in a proper, large control booth for the ride. They may need it as there’s probably going to be lots of equipment in there to manage this monster of a ride.

2. The building is that size because it includes many other things including a break room.

EDIT: Oops, Teebin beat me to it!

At this point I am most curious as to what the final launch theming will look like, given it's the climax of the ride.

This beast of a ride is awesome. It's been a really long time since we've had such an intricate outdoor construction project like this. We're so used to seeing a giant showbuilding go up followed by a year of nothing but speculation as to what's going on inside.

My big question is this... any reason the backwards spike has yet to be enclosed? It almost looks like only the lead-up to the spike will be enclosed at this point.

This is my only complaint about this ride. Per Alicia, this is the strongest launch on the coaster and yet all it does is go up into the overbanked turn and come back to turn right into the last show building (the new one being constructed and not the load/unload). If this is the strongest, it seems like they are leaving a lot of kinetic energy on the table. Now, it may have ruined the coaster to have the section flying over top of the first 3/4 of the ride. I get that. It is just my only complaint and, even then, it is a small complaint.

We’re lucky to have the best aerial photographer in the country.

I agree this ride just looks like fun. I don't think the spike will be enclosed but the quasi tunnel to get there should have a surprise!

Why is the drop track part not covered yet?

The drop tracks themselves were the last part of the coaster to be installed, and they didn’t start putting up that part of the building until after they were put in I believe.

It looks like they have a lot more grading to do, which is probably why they at least poured the concrete around the base for now. It looks like they’re focusing on the other structures for now. The framing for the round one is only now starting to go up.

I see a lot of dirt digging around the spike. Maybe by the next set of aerials they’ll start framing around the spike.

(Or, it’s always possible that I was wrong about the cave lol.)

It's clear at this point that it's a zero g stall, meaning that you're going to go over the track switch, pause at ground level while the track switches, launch > stall > small launch backwards (that you wont feel because it's going to be used to just maintain speed). With that said I believe that this will probably happen in the dark and there wont be intricate theme in this area. This is clearly the point in the ride where "something goes wrong". I'm hoping the entire thing is enclosed.

Playing Mythbuster, I noticed a bit of illogical theatrics in this new gothic tracery window. If the stone column here had been broken off, it would have separated cleanly at the seam (arrow) and not have hung on as is the case here. As a matter of fact, the whole structure should have collapsed without any underlying support.

Sorry, I am deadly bored...

I can show you ruins of an old abbey 5 mins from where I work which has similar collapsed elements.

The 2nd floor of the building will be break rooms for IOA employees. I think it may be used for other non-potter related stuff too but cannot recall the details.

Dragon Challenge and Hippogriff had a shared double-wide trailer break room in that space and Entertainment had a trailer there as well (for Olivanders/Hogsmede stage).

Might even be enough room for an employee “Mini Grill,” since the closest one is behind Pizza Preditoria... maybe displaced by a new coaster soon? They did build one for Diagon Alley directly behind the King’s Cross platform, with offices up top, so it’s not totally out of the question.
