Universal doesn’t decide what the height requirements are for their rides, the manufacturer does. The manufacturer is responsible for determining what height is too small that it would be unsafe to ride. Since it’s Intamin, I expect it to be a notch above Gringotts.

Parks do get some say in the height requirement for rides. The manufacturer gives a recommended requirement (which is usually the lowest they can go) but the parks can go up from there if they'd like. Intamin gave King's Dominion a recommended height requirement of 48 inches for Intimidator 305, but the park bumped it up to 54 inches.

No but you might run into Treebeard, Batman, or Cobra Kai.

I wonder why manufacturers don't use odd numbers? 43 just sounds weird I guess.

I had the same thought, can't we get some love for the odd numbers?

45 is a nice number. Odd numbers are ok but prime numbers are the devil. 49 would also be ok.

45 and 3/4 actually

Edit: I see now that there was a whole page in between your comment and mine, but I'm going to leave my late to the party joke as is.

So, would we all guess that this is a 42” height limit coaster?

Nah, it doesn’t go upside down and is much less intense than the coaster it’s replacing. It’ll be either 42” or 44”.

Wavebreaker is 48” btw. Nothing egregious for the ride either. Not really fast, not crazy turns. No inversions. It’s basically the trains and restraints that makes it 48”.

So it’s certainly not out of the range.

ETA: guessing the height without knowing the train is a futile effort. It’s like guessing how fast a boat will go by looking at the ocean conditions.
If it’s the same/similar ride vehicles as wavebreaker, as has been discussed, then it’s almost assuredly 48”. The layout or lack of inversions won’t matter.

Aww, the poor castle is denuded and plain. I feel bad for it. I'm sure that they will theme the exterior appropriately but I really liked that castle.
