I did the single rider line once last November and then did full stand-by a little later. The stand-by was actually quicker. The lesson I did learn was to not do single rider if the line was at or outside the door leading into the old castle. If that line was further down the stairs, it would probably be a 25-30 minute wait. From the door, it took close to an hour.

This ride will never get Express lol. Even if they do, it’ll be a ONE time use a day for this ride only.
Has that new expanded maintenance bay opened up yet?

Currently in line and single rider seems to be back? Also I haven’t ridden for a few months but I thought the preshow was in permanent screensaver mode. Today they’re running the full preshow video on a loop but still having the queue move through that room normally (no having to stop and watch the whole thing).

It seemed to be in flux because it was actually back maybe a week or two ago (maybe for a day, who knows) but not accessible from the entrance like before. I found out when entering the line with everyone else and only when we got close to the castle was there an attendant in front of a new single rider line entrance.

I did standby, but the singles entrance was further in, just before getting to the switchbacks of doom past Hagrid’s hut.

What's strange is a few days ago another guest asked if there was single riders and they got the same answer as I did: there is no single riders.

So either it's intermittent or that's what they tell you if you ask directly but if you go into the standby line you'll discover the single rider entrance further in. It's a little confusing as to how they're handling it at the moment.

Hopefully, they go to Express soon after Epic opens. I'd guess Hagrids (and IOA) demand might drop a tad once all those new attractions open at Epic.

Yes, that's what I've been thinking......The dynamics all change once Epic opens.....Plus, a nice extra value of the deluxe hotel's Express that only work on Studios and IOA.

It's been probably two years since I've been on it, but this has been my experience with single rider on Hagrid from the beginning - on again, off again, and different layouts/entrances/etc. Just a hard queue and loading area to fit it into.

We did express last time I was at the park and while I'm happy on this ride it dumped us 3/4 of the way thru the line, I felt like it was weird that the express didn't finish where you enter the ride. If there was a pre-show I would understand but it felt like we got into the normal line and then waited another 30 mins to get on this ride.

I thought there was no Express for Hagrid's. You sure you weren't in the single rider line?

They have the magical "Ruby Express passes" that you can use on Hagrid's. We did it once.

It dumps you into the room right before the switchbacks under the motorcycles.

Rumors floating that Express will be added to Hagrids in the next few days.....Anyone know for sure?
