You’re correct in the sense that it doesn’t *have to* have water…technically, yes, there are other ways around it to manufacture the concept of water…but IMO just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. Why create fake water through projection mapping when you can have the real deal for an IP like Jaws no less. You’re entitled to your opinion of course but it just feels silly to me.

We were talking about reusing the F&F building in it's present form. Switching to an actual water based attraction would probably be costly. And, one of the main issues they replaced the original ride is that it was a maintenance problem and the use of special effects were budget buster issues. If they would reuse the present F&F facility they could probably retrofit it using screens and some practical sets that would be less costly than trying to recreate the original Jaws....I was just throwing that out as an idea. I'm no great fan of Jaws and would rather see BTTF, or even Ghostbusters if they were going to reuse the present structure....Now, if they tear down that building and start over anew, then its a whole new ballgame. But the present building is less than a decade old, so I would doubt they'd tear it down.

Right I acknowledge that but it’s unlikely they are going to gut the existing infrastructure which is why I feel it would be a waste to try to force an IP into this space when it’s not a good match. An IP like Jaws deserves an actual real water ride, Back to the Future deserves to pick up real speed. If they’re going to keep this space, which I fully admit is the most realistic scenario, then it’s better IMO for them to not force/try to make an IP work that doesn’t fit in this space. They should just go with an IP that isn’t so universally beloved and that deserves better and would be a disappointing fit in this space because I’d be willing to bet, forcing a square peg into a round hole like this, is just going to lead to disappointment.

I agree with you. I was just responding to others that brought up using Jaws. Throwing a possible scenario where it could work in that building. As I said, I doubt they'll tear down a relatively new building. There's other IP's that would work there better than Jaws.....The building is huge, but not so large they could do a Test Track speed thing.

I would guess the numbers would say something like....98% Hate F&F SC....1% are neutral...1% love F&F SC......so may as well keep the thread as it is since F&F SC has zero redeeming qualities....F&F SC has one notable feature....It's probably the theme park all time most hated attraction....and most wasted space.....

Knight Bus would probably fit well. Would they do that conversion, and add to London after opening Paris at Epic? Iffy at best.....But it's important to note that the ride system, and 360 screen works well, if done right, like they did with Reign of Kong at IOA. But it would have to be a much better Universal work all around, not the garbage job that was F&F SC, a result of undue pressure from the film side of Universal. Let UC do what they do best, without interference from the movie and IP execs. That's a big attraction building, and enormous queue. Use some of that queue for an attraction and maybe something solid could result.

We don’t, but they might. Looking at Epic makes me want to believe we’ve turned a creative corner. Looking at 70% of USF reminds me there are some dark alleyways that will hopefully be avoided.
