I assumed the delays were the result of the seemingly unfeasible VFX timelines to get this ready within a year when they aren't even done with principal photography.

But yes, the release calendar is going to continue to experience seismic shakeups because of this move.

This feels like end of an empire era Marvel, they're putting all their eggs in this one very overloaded basket and letting the guy who ruined one of their most complex heroes carry it. Feels like a potential all time worst CBM.

I agree that we can’t say for sure if the movie sucks as it hasn’t even been filmed yet! I DK think it’s fair to be critical of the movie when the MCU’s track record as of late hasn’t been amazing. I’m not super confident about this movie but would love to be proven wrong!

I would not be surprised if this ends up being the most expensive movie of all time. It sounds like they’re willing to go for broke to breathe new life into the MCU.

Has nothing to do with the ultimate end quality of the film.

Nothing good can come from rushing through the beginning of the creative process to the point where we're not even really sure what the cemented story is as we're filming visuals. Doing so can only hurt the end piece.

It would behoove them so much to just slow down and think things out but that's not how the almighty dollar works.

I hope they do right by Thor. Hemsworth is one of the absolute best actors in the MCU, and Ragnarok + Infinity War really showed how incredible his character can be. He definitely became one of my favorite heroes pretty suddenly after those films. I actually liked Endgame's Thor, because it felt like Chris got a lot of chances to really act and portray a good bit of pathos and a solid turnaround arc (when they weren't making fat person cheeto jokes, it definitely wasn't perfect.).

But L&T was an absolute mess, and it's all on Taika. That was probably the first and biggest major miss of the post-Endgame MCU. They probably could've taken poor reception to Black Widow or Multiverse of Madness on the chin, but all eyes were on Thor, and that's because he was everyone's new favorite after Infinity War. Hope they bring back that energy.
