Also, a bummer that the preshow apparently ditched the Spider-Man AA that was rumored.

Why is it that Musion Christopher Walken in 2008 looked better than Musion Tom Holland in 2021?

He also didn’t seem like the Peter Parker from the films. Way out of character. So many strange decisions.

I thought that musion Tom Holland looked really good. Someone was joking around in a tweet and said Tom Holland even showed up for the opening, and it took me wayyyy too long to realize Tom Holland wasn't actually there

Walken looked like he existed in three-dimensional space, with space behind him. To me, Holland looks backed up against a wall, which doesn't help to sell the illusion.

Ditched or never was going to happen? After all how do you do a Spider-man AA?

I mean what you've seen is in a video so far.

Second best Marvel themed land with the second best Spider-Man ride and third best iteration of ToT. The biggest IPs in the history of pop culture and Disney’s not even trying.

You can do a Spider-Man AA pretty easy if you use the Iron Spider design, i'd think. It's basically an Iron Man design and I don't think anyone would argue that you couldn't do an Iron Man AA. Now if we're talking shooting webs, then it becomes much harder to do an AA, although I guess you could have the AA Spidey raise his arm and he'd be out of web and the conceit of the ride would be that we're helping Spider-Man while he fixes his web slinger?

Allegedly Kevin Feige had input in the ride as well...rumor but from what I heard. Lets keep him at the movies and away from the parks. Man, Scott Trowbridge as well....how do you go from having your name involved in IOA's spiderman to this spiderman?

Feige likely only played a role in terms of working worth Sony and Tom Holland to film the pre-show. I HIGHLY doubt he had any part in this project aside from that.

Mission Breakout is superior to any version of Tower of Terror. Everything else you said is spot on.

IMO doesn’t beat the original or what I’ve seen of Tokyo’s.

Insanity. It could maybe come in second. It’s not better than the OG

This feels like it was designed by the merchandising department. No shade to those folks, but this was designed solely to sell toys and web shooters.

I think it depends what you're looking for. If you're looking for a more "fun" ride, Mission Breakout is going to be the better ride imo. If you want more of a ride that has a great suspenseful buildup with great haunted hotel theming, then the DHS ToT is going to be the one for you.

I really enjoy both about equally and in their own ways. Without the fifth dimension scene, I think GotG: MB is just the better ride for the ride system. The fifth dimension scene that DHS has really gives it a unique quality that it's missing at its counterparts and personally I don't know why the Paris version isn't changing to Mission Breakout, especially with it being right next to Avengers Campus there, too.

Did I count this correctly? Only 4 scenes? I'll take Knott's Bear-y Tales over this. This deserves a proper boss battle with an actual villain. And what's with the weak-ass congrats from Spidey at the end? Was he paid by the word and Disney was too cheap to pay him to say a few more sentences?

Being one who was won over by MB a couple years ago, I have to echo Nick on this one. DHS's tower is a masterclass of building suspense, fear to build to a nice drop program.

MB on the other hand, is rather fitting for the GotG as it's very fast-paced and frantic. It makes way better use of DCA's building format then ToT ever could. It's more of a fun and wild direction, and when it comes to the drop profiles, they're more intense than DHS's. You go flying out of your seat a lot more on MB than any of the profiles on DHS's. It's definitely the Fun/Action variant of the tower, and I can totally see why some would prefer that over DHS's.

Having spoke with those who have gone on TDS's, they all agree that TDS has the best theming, story and preshow of them all...however it all builds to the weakest drop profile of any tower.

Frankly the fact that theyre some of the biggest IPs is probably a factor for them not trying as hard.
They probably figure people will show up no matter how many corners they cut because its got Avengers and Spider-Man slapped all over it.

I don't want to continue to pile on... but I feel it can't go without saying that this attraction entrance looks like it's something you'd expect to find in a Six Flags. The aesthetic of this land is just very puzzling.
