I would really love to see Sam Raimi come back and do a full body horror version of that storyline though...

Man don’t remind of what Spiderman 4 could’ve been with Rami.

So I seent it.

It’s the best “Spidey” movie out of the 4. Loved the Punisher “big bro” dynamic.

But the villain… I just couldn’t get into it. Seems forced.

Confusing because Spider-Man has a Batman level Rogues Gallery and it seems MIGHTY wasteful to sideline GREAT villains for... well... that.

I'm all for universe storytelling dynamics, big swings and whatnot, but this is the literal definition of forced. Especially when

I'm excited to see it weird its the best but the Villains doesn't land (whats funny to me is the first two films dont land but have amazing villains)

Somehow not been spoiled on the film outside the things in trailers but its sounding like the vibe of this film will be what we get in the next film or two for the MCU because most people seem to be loving it outside the villain which is so werid to me....Its a Spiderman movie and they are normally one of the best parts, even Spiderman 3 Sandman was a standout in a fine film

Broad strokes, how's the Hulk?

Entertaining.

He's part of a collection of heroes that so happened to have dealt with loneliness/abandonment in their own way, mirroring the journey Peter is on. I've seen the argument that they just added him for "reasons", and while the movie could work without him, it's not just a lazily added MCU character, so it works.

Nice! I'm surprised it's the best out of the 4 (that's saying something).

I do wanna clarify that I meant the "Best"... as in, he's full-on your friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man. Best suit, Better quipping. He's full on what fans come to expect from Spider-Man.

loved the scenes with ned, MJ, hulk and Ned ( really love Ned A lot. ) punisher was amazing. best he's ever been since daredevil season 2.
I hated and really despised the villain plot. very cliche very generic and unoriginal.

( the action is pretty amazing. might be some of the best fights. )

so Jean Grey is basically eleven from stranger things going after an evil scientist team... sorry guys but, it cannot get more cliche and generic than that. holy crapola is the SAME plot..... omg.
thunderbolts literally just had the same thing with their villain being misunderstood.
this movie felt a little like wandavision. same thing. misunderstood wronged "villain" that hurts and possibly kills people, destroys the town , causes a lot of destruction but at the end is the victim.
the Jean grey is kind of awful. I Hated her. she did worst things than other Spider-Man villains.

also peter dealing with missing mj and dealing with his identity crisis is ripped out straight from Spider-Man 2. this movie feels basically like a type of remake of raimi's Spider-Man 2. at least the MJ stuff.

Jean grey is a mixture of doctor octopus and sandman basically.

they teased and featured all these other villains and they all get a tiny montage that is a few minutes long lol. why.....
all that hype for all these different villains and they didn't do anything
scorpion is kinda wasted like rhino in amazing Spider-Man 2. Scorpion has a good fight. but they do nothing interesting with him. it's all jean grey.

I liked it. but, the spoiler stuff really bothered me a lot. just so awful.

It was good for me but I loved the last film

While its cool to see Spiderman be just him, unlike the older films it feels like things are just there with little to no build up

The Villain being Jean is fine and makes sense but they need to stop making villains mostly tell, like you want people to feel for the villain then you should them torturing the sister first and people might understand whats going on but this is the second time people are against villains who have a normal motive that would make most people act the same but people are like.....errr but I don't care.

Like Falcon Winter Soilder, the villains had a point (they were kicked out of homes because of the government) and here its someone being taken by the government and used which both check out to why you'd want o just kill whoever because this world doesn't care to help victims people say they do but we let Gaza happen and people in the US are taken off the streets, so I understand why if I was them I'd be done playing by the rules and do whatever to get my justice but normal people just seem to not care

Anyway the Punisher for me was the highlight, they just feel like brothers. The Hulk stuff was good enough and set up Doomsday to have normal hulk again. Some of the action was cool but....its hard to come from 3 Spiderman fighting the Sinister 6 to Peter against the hand, which the hand is only in this movie to be the final fight

I wish we got to see Spiderman and the detective do something...like I think its cool when Spiderman befriend cops but they didn't do anything together really

Scorpion was just here....I wish he could have been apart of the plot but nope...just here because. After The new animated job doing such a good job with Scorpion this was just....like I don't get it

Also the cop pulling up to the Scorpion fight...like somewhat her fault. She see's Spiderman is fighting him....what are you going to do? If a super hero is needed to take down a villain what is a cop going to do to stop him? So yes Spiderman went too far...because the cop was stupid enough to get inbetween a fight with two super powers, must be her first day

Anyway for me it comes out to 7/10 its good but....errrr not in my top 5 Spideman films (Spiderman 1, Spiderman 2, No way Home, Into the Spiderverse and Accross the Spiderverse and maybe even Amazing Spiderman 1 I think are all better films)

I will say the main cast did a great job with acting with that they had and the MJ stuff was interesting enough
