To answer some questions (from my point of view):

I'm not sure if I like this better than Time Traveler. Time Traver is longer, faster, and feels more intense. But since the spinning is random, I've had both good and not-so good rides on it. But strangely, the fact that that F&F is not quite as intense, in a strange way, works a bit in it's favor, in that you feel ready to go on again right away.

I sort of liken this ride to Disneyland's Space Mountain in the sense that, while I doubt Space Mountain is anyone's Top 10 ride, it's something you go on nearly every time and enjoy it a lot. Now, I do think this is definitely more intense than Space Mountain, but I'm just saying that just because it may not be a Top 10 ride doesn't mean you can't have a great time on it and think it's a blast to ride.

I didn't hear any music on the ride itself... the audio was all just engine revs and tire screeches. It didn't bother me at all to not have music, but that's just my opinion.

The ride does feel short to me, but not really short changed, if you know what I mean. Remember there's no lift hill at all, it just takes off and goes pretty much the entire time. It barely slows down even on the block brake.

Whether you were using Express, SR, or stand by, everyone had to start with the queue outside the main entrance. And the entire queue is mainly to get a locker. Once you get in, Express and Stand by merge, and it's maybe 10-15 min past that. Even Express had to wait about 15-20 min just to get the locker. SR gets a locker the second you enter the main queue to the right. (EDIT: Sorry, left)

I mean on here maybe but most people like Disney Coasters (Big Thunder is my favorite coaster its the perfect amount of Thrills and themeing combined)

Some love extreme thrills but its not whatever wants from a coaster, many just want it to be fun and doesn't have to break every record to be fun

I'm glad it seems like a good time, and on it being short sadly we knew this from testing because it didn't take long to get back to the station. I wish it had a opening scene and ending scene, I feel like this could help make it the ride longer but maybe Orlando will fix the issue of it being too short because USH like always gets the smaller attraction with the exception of the Tram

Work had me come in an hour earlier today which works in my favor even though I’m a little sleepy lol. Just renewed my pass and I’m going to be in the park around 4:30. Fingers crossed that the ride will be open! I should be able to make it well before the alleged 6:00 cutoff if it’s happening today.

So jealous of all these posts. Next visit is HHN but luckily I'll be there opening weekend so won't have to wait too long. Doing my best to avoid the POVs just to get a pure experience but it seems like feedback is (mostly) positive so far.

How long were the lines anyone who waited down the street?

Getting in the attraction itself was fine; regular was three hours and single rider was maybe 45? That three hour wait was due to some big delays that kept happening and/or express clogging the line.

I was debating playing hooky from work to gamble on a trip up there today but couldn't convince anyone else to join in, and I am not heading all the way there from San Diego alone. :nervous: Maybe I'll get lucky this weekend.

Interesting, much earlier than yesterday. Wonder if this pattern will repeat in the days to come, and if it does, I'm definitely setting out with time to spare before it's time to hit the coaster. Gonna give it till next week to try again given some things I've got this week (and it's why I'm so glad catching it yesterday paid off)

Sounds like the neighbors are complaining again.
KTLA briefly played a clip of what it sounds like from the neighborhood.

I legit wonder what exactly they hope to accomplish? Or what can even be done at this point? I understand Universal would like to make all parties happy but is there a reality where enough people rally to this cause to actually get this headliner attraction shut down? Putting aside who is objectively right or wrong, a brief glance into any comment section related to the noise complaints show that they're not going to win the court of public opinion.

Obviously they can't just "slow it down" because that isn't how physics works. The only recourse I could even imagine would be more scream shields? But even if that would work, it wouldn't be something they could build for a hot minute.

Man.. am I really considering making the 2 hour drive up there today..?

I think USH will need to build more sound shields at some point to at least look like they are trying

So if the court of public opinion is saying anything, sounds like Toulca Lake flipping their crap just sounds like this in the grand scheme of things, especially after seeing how those YouTube comments are grilling them (Loud/bad mic warning)

I personally think that unless you or someone you know lives in Toluca Lake, your opinion on the sound issue is probably null.

My friend's just got off the ride around noon they were letting people line up...so took them about 70-90 mins to rope drop this test

A word of warning I guess security can come by before the ride open and push everyone away, but don't go too far because after pushing people away they started letting people line up. This can change daily but a heads up

I'm mostly just curious, if those people further away are hearing the screams that loudly, how is the studio handling this? They too would be be capturing screams on mic now while trying to film, if it's that loud?

I could be wrong but part of the issue I think is the golf Course, like its just a HUGE open area so the sound travels while I think the Mummy and other buildings are helping mask the sounds for the studio

Once I can go on the tram while its testing, it will be easier to confirm this
