Yeah, not in a million years am I paying those prices for Express. If you can spend two days at Epic, you can easily hit the big rides as long as they're operational. In the morning, focus in on Battle at the Ministry or Mario Kart (is Mine Cart now part of EPA?) and then focus on the other rides in the evening when the crowds are usually smaller. Middle of the day is all the other attractions. Day two is for clean-up and riding rides a second time.

Yes. That's the way I did it in November. Two different Sundays, stayed until closing both days. Skipped early admission since I didn't want us tired out for the prime evening hours, and didn't want to waste time with the round trip back to the North Campus, that takes longer than you'd think. We even got lucky with a real short DK Mine Train line in the evening, and that ride is really cool in the dark, since the broken track effect works so well then.. Possibly not as good in daylight. We didn't have a single long line, timed everything just right. The only problem was they had a five hour afternoon period where nearly every attraction broke down, even with sunny warm weather. ...Breakdowns are still the lottery aspect. You can have good luck and a good experience, or really bad luck that ruins your day.

Yeah, that's the one downside. It can be like rolling the dice at Vegas with luck on downtime. Not as bad as the first year of USF, but definitely a factor in the day.

The trip back to the North Campus does take a bit longer than you would like. We typically hit the morning hard with EPA (getting there at like 730am) and then take a break around midday to nap and then back at the park around 5pm or so, which makes helps quite a bit since we had the kiddos with us.

I remember when Disney opened a brand new theme park with only 5 "attractions" and the GMR was the only actual ride, (Studio Backlot Tour, I guess could be counted as a 2nd ride.)

3 if you count Star Tours only opening a few months later.

I went to WDW in 1990 (I think) and I didn't waste time on MGM because it had hardly any rides. Spent my time at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Yeah, Epcot had rides. Horizons, World of Motion, Spaceship Earth, and others. Enough to keep me busy.

So we were able to go one of the concierge kiosks and get an extra Express voucher that we could use today.

The downside now is it’s been raining for the past two hours and all the rides we still have Express for are under weather delay.

Mine Cart Madness was also closed unexpectedly at USJ during the same time period. Very interesting

It’s worth noting that they were very long rides. Around 20 minutes each if I recall totalling to 40. Does the total ride time in Epic even match that?

In fairness they advertised and PRICED MGM as a half day park.

Now DCA on the other hand…..

DK Mine Coaster is back...BUT....it appears to still be having issues. It was down about a third of the day on both Monday and Tuesday.

A week out from getting home from the trip... still thinking about Mario Kart. Did it 3x, but 2x without the visor. This ride is better without that stuff distracting you!

The animatronics are awesome, the Cloudtop Cruise section is great, and Rainbow Road is spectacular. There is no need for the AR karts to take away from any of this.

Love the visor system that they came up with, but it just doesn't work for me on this ride.

Also, I got zero points on those rides. But who cares!

I did it once without the visor. With a few additional action points, that version could have been superior to having the distracting AR.
