M&G Toad hasn't been seen since sporadic one-off appearances in late 2025, and M&G Donkey Kong had limited slimmed-down offerings for the first quarter of 2026 and has recently been cut nearly completely. Mario and Luigi, and Princess Peach upstairs are the only two characters still available from opening day.
Word is that the majority of the Toad costumes have been broken since before Epic's opening day, and have only gotten to be more of an issue with time. And it seems like DK is having similar issues. There does not seem to be plans to bring these characters back in the short-term.
There were potentially conversations between UDX and Nintendo regarding retaining the Yoshi M&G from the Galaxy promotion as a short-term replacement for Toad / DK. Yoshi did stick around for a week or two longer than was advertised. But obviously, if those conversations ever did end up happening, we know the end result of those talks anyway. Yoshi is not available at Epic anymore either.
