I think Universal's decision-making in USF over the last twelve years offers plenty of reasons to be, if not outright pessimistic, at least very guarded in ones expectations.

They roll the dice. It keeps coming up snake eyes. ...But IOA is another story. Winners big time. Hagrid, Velocicoaster, Kong with 3D.

I'd argue Kong is really the only miss IoA's had but besides that, yeah nothing but bangers. I'm pessimistically optimistic about Pokemon, yeah the land itself I'm sure will be great but after my disappointment with SNW, I'm waiting to see how the ride(s) will fare.

It’s unfortunate because the original rumored concept of Kong was a far superior attraction that became a more screen dependent shell of what could have been. The same can be said about MarioKart and even Forbidden Journey.

That said I believe Epic shows what Universal has learned through guest feedback. Screens utilized as a support to the scene rather than the focus of the scene creates a better overall experience.

Time will tell.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly sure there was speculation that an animatronic Kong was going to grab our driver out of the vehicle?

There’s concept art out there of a two vehicle long RV where a real driver is “taken”, I assume by a creature like in the final ride. There’s also a layout I’ve seen floating around with a longer indoor part, but I dunno if I’d call that version of the ride less screen dependent, it’s always been based around the 360 tunnel.

What if HTF’s hint is more obvious than we think? Hear me out…

Godzilla sounds cool on paper when you realize that it would be difficult to pull it off with how massive he is. They could set it in New York but I feel like that could be a stretch. For that reason, maybe the solution is simpler than we think…

…what if we’re getting Kongfrontation 2.0?

I’m not privy to the GSATs so this theory could be shot down by how the guests view Skull Island. But being that there’s a big push to reinvigorate USF with throwback/classic IPs, this would be the way to do it. With Skull Island retiring 3D on the ride, I have to wonder how much longer they intend to keep it. IoA is running out of space with Lost Continent going so replacing Skull Island would free up space.

I will also say that I imagine whatever goes here will also go to USH. Theres a push from people wishing for a physical Kong back and that park just dumped 3D. I could see them demo’ing Kong 360 on the Tour and putting a proper Kong attraction into Supercharged. It would also fee up the collapsing bridge again! It would be a fair tradeoff to scrap two mediocre 360 tunnels for one awesome practical effects ride.

Just a thought.

Yes I have posted certain things in the past that may or may not have been rumors but nothing I’ve posted as of late is. It was never my intention to lead people on or kick up DUST on the rumor machine. My bad yall, I’ll see myself back out.

To be fair Kongs ride system and show aspects did replace Disaster, just a different IP lol

Even though this attraction sucks, I always want to ride it at least once on a vacation since it makes all the other park attractions seem sooo much better in comparison. But alas, I don't. Except for a couple of times in single rider, I've rarely rode it since the first two years because Alene absolutely hates the ride and refuses to go on it. But, with the upcoming vacation with the granddaughters (12 &13), their theme park tastes aren't real refined, so I'll take them on the ride just to have another attraction during a long 13 nights at Universal vacation. And, maybe sing a swan song since it'll probably be gone within the next 12 months........Goodbye F&F Supercharged. You should never have been conceived.

We were in the parks for over a week and actually forgot that this existed. One of the days, we thought it would be funny to try it again so we got to it around 6:15 and I am not sh!itting you here, it was already closed for the night.

Like, how else would be able to "act da fool!"?

In related news, I've somehow received five surveys from Uni since this last trip, and I am commenting on how bad this ride is in every one, even if they are about IoA or Hard Rock or whatever. I credit @Mad Dog for this "get out the vote" behavior.

If I recall correctly, it seems like they are shutting it down most every day in the evening hours. Yes, it's easy to forget it's in the park since there's rarely any guests around the entrance. It's a true dead spot in the middle of the park, if that's even possible. What a turkey, wasted space, wasted effort, wasted use of budget. Remember, even it's creators in UC said it was a massive mistake and embarrassment. If not for covid, I believe it would have been shuttered four or five years ago.
