Well, went last night -- first time ever doing my first night at the event without getting in early (ahh, I miss the old, unpaid days). We decided not to join the opening crush, so we ate and had drinks for about an hour first to kill time, then made it to the gate at 7:15.
Got in line for Fallout at 7:30, with a 35-minute wait, and was out of the house at 8:00 on the dot. Really fun, especially since we'd just watched season one in preparation, but it definitely felt short. Had a "That's it?" feeling that most of the houses in that location have had, including when it was TWDA. The bear was really cool, though -- we kept expecting the Gulper to show up, that we'd completely forgotten about the bear, so it was a nice punch!
After that, we went for the Terror Tram, and were boarding (pretty much a walk on) by 8:10 and done around 8:30. Really enjoyed it this year; I love that they're tweaking it more and more, as the mini house concept really works. If it can keep improving from this foundation, I'll be excited about it again.
After that, we went to the Lower Lot; Scarecrow had a 15-minute wait time when we got in line around 8:45. Ended up waiting almost nearly 80 minutes, and once we got closer to the front, I was counting: For every 40-ish Express guests that would be in line, the ops person was letting in 2 to 4 people from general. Brutal. So we got out around 10:05.
At that point, FNAF was 180 minutes; Jason was 90; Terrifier (I think) was 90, etc., etc. We ended up leaving and going home from there (we'll be back Thursday, so this was our "chip away slowly" night). But man, yeah... Not doable without Early Access, and I can't *fathom* paying all that money to get in line at, say, 8 or 9 and stand for three-plus hours for something like FNAF, only to have the event be nearly over by the time you're out of it.
