But you still have access to food and beverage - more than ever? The early queueing was an issue before, but now you have more options of how you can spend your time before houses open.

Yeah, you've got more options since you'll be able to access them before the main park closes for the transition. And the concern about getting food and bev while you're waiting in line?...then you just get said food and bev before you get in line and eat in there. That's pretty much what everyone did in the holding pen house lines for Stay and Scream.

*And as note, I know folks could technically leave the line in the holding pen to get food and bev, but that only works if you're with a group. I normally go solo, so I can't do that. Hence, I always get my food and drink before getting in line. And that's what folks are gonna' have to do if they want to wait in line.

This seems to be a lesser version of albeit the USH Day/Night format, done on a separate charge atleast from talking to friends and colleagues. And if you know me, then you know how much I actually adore Day/Night at USH and of the value it gives for those doing HHN.

This seems like a fantastic change that should go over really well. Probably weird at first, sure, but good in the long run.

I go solo half the time and never had someone NOT hold my place while I grabbed a drink and bio break last minute, 4:30, before lines started moving..
So will HHN booths be open to all, only those with wristbands? Not at all?
Now every portal will have a line at 3, I dont see this going well.

The main thing that will be open at 3, is not the house portals themselves. It's the distribution centers for the sake of the wristbands. Assuming if I am right, you will be given a full hour to enter the park and get a wristband that correlates to access for houses at the event.

It's no different from how Hollywood did things with Day/Night, atleast from what it seems to me. The difference on Hollywood and Orlando, is that you got the wristbands right as you entered the park for USH's.

I'd assume they'll start handing out wristbands at 3, and they'll keep handing them out all the way up to 5PM when the park closes.

Scream Early ticket? $55

Daytime USF ticket? $130

Getting a wristband at 3 and then catching the last showing of Horror Makeup before hopping in a queue? Priceless

Yeah but people line up over an hour before they open the holding pens so they will also line up for wristbands, then immediately go to the portals. At least the pens are organized chaos.

Perhaps it is a limited understanding based off of that of my understanding via the perspective of others; but the organized chaos had sounded like it was not working in the context of how big HHN has been continuing to get in guest interest. Ontop of that, this is the biggest year on a IP level that we have had since arguably before COVID (as 2019 had Stranger Things Boogaloo, Us, and Ghostbusters).

I can't help but shake a feeling that something had to give. And the only reason why I suspect the wristband distribution isn't happening at the front gate, is because Orlando hasn't had the time or experience to have what USH has been doing for years.

Not to say open-chaos won't have it's problems, it will, but I think at the end of the day this will ease things more for the sake of long-term operations more than short term.

Think of this as going from the (barely) organized chaos of 2 holding pens to 10 much better organized holding pens. Well, probably 5 or 6 by the time everything shakes out. With people who just want to vibe--and more importantly, who just want to exit the park--not having to dodge massive lines right through the major thoroughfares. And the added bonus of not having to move a couple thousand person line in an orderly fashion without it turning into a stampede.

I admit if you're a "line up ASAP" kind of guy, this is a wash. But for Ops and everyone else, it feels like a win.

OK, so now huge line at 2 to get a wristband, then everyone runs to a queue and lines up from 3 to 4 until they open the queue. But instead of access to food and beverage in holding area you are stuck in a queue, SOL. So are the themed food booths not open early now with short lines? Didn't say what time houses would open, big factor.
THIS SUCKS! Except for those that will roam until 5 and enter the Express line right off the bat.

As if people weren't doing this already? Guests lined up for the two holding areas, then waited in lines at the holding areas, then were let into the queues which were then more holding areas. This is a WAY better set up and concept for 99% of guests.

So do you think there will still be an "opening ceremony" if the gates don't actually close?

Yes, the gates do close at 5pm and reopen at ~630 still. The difference is no holding pens.

This is a good point. I think we could see a situation where there's an additional wristband distribution area outside the park by week two or three.

I think it would be less chaotic if they started distributing at noon se people could leisurely get them, but that would put scream early ticket holders at a slight disadvantage.
