Surprised they haven't begun to at least dismantle the launch track of Superman. I'd figure they'd want that somewhat gone.

the longer that remains standing the more I believe the rumor of S&S doing a complete revamp of the ride

To be fair, the park has a bad habit of leaving the remains of dead/defunct rides (and restaurants) for years...

Deja Vu towers & queue
The old monorail (although that finally got removed)
Flat ride building next to Jetstream

There's a few others too. And hell, Green Lantern sat there for years before getting shipped off.

I always joked the park was a defunct carnival graveyard where rides go to die/rot.

I feel like this one may be a bit of a different case though, as some of those were queues or things that were not fully visible to the GP :)

the superman track is staring ever GP guest in the face as they walk by it, and as such I assume park staff would be spammed with people coming up to them and asking about the ride

Not all the monorail track got removed... if you look through the trees, there's still a bit visible when riding Swashbuckler. But you'd have to be actively looking for it to notice.

I have often wondered if they'd ever do anything with the lower Dragon station by Jet Stream. I thought it was so odd they took a lot of time recently to repaint it, and yet put nothing inside it. I always thought a tea-cup style ride would fit nicely in there.

But if we really want to be critical, we can talk about how Disneyland still has all the Peoplemover tracks up after, what, 30+ years?

As for Superman, it just seems like it wouldn't be too hard (on a relative scale) to just re-work the tech and create a "new" ride. Especially if they plan on keeping Drop of Doom... there's incentive to just find a new use for the rest of the tracks.

You're probably thinking of the Six Flags America news which is a different Six Flags park in Maryland which will be closing in November of this year.

Yup it’s 100% true. Gonna be sold to real estate. Pack it up everyone. It’s over. That’s what’s happening

……..if the park was bought by Merlin.

Did the Scrambler ever return to its location next to Bumper Cars?

I'll drag my lazy butt up to the park when I get the chance. Just gotta get paid first. I'd be avoiding X2 like the plague.. one can handle only so much abuse.

Looking at their roster of flats, they don’t really offer much except for what SFMM already has. They can’t use the Sky Scream because if the restrictions from Windseeker. The only one I could see making its way over here is the Zamperla Nebulaz, which SFMM could really use!

I'll take 3! Send it now! Seriously though, it's already themed perfectly for Screampunk District

Looking at their "family rides", they have
- A scrambler (which we're missing)
- The flyer type swings that Knotts has
- swings (if it is more grand than our rust junkyard version, swap it out!)

Kiddie rides:
- pirate swing ride

Thrill
- Raging Cajin spinning wild mouse coaster.

Yea, there's not much to swipe from their park. Even the Waterpark selection is slim.

I've heard Scrambler ain't coming back--but that was prior to the SFA closing announcement. I also noticee they have a Scrambler, so maybe that will change. I hope so, but not exactly holding my breath. And even if it did, since that park isn't closing until November of this year, we wouldn't see it until 2026 the earliest.

To me, the perfect spot for a NebulaZ would be Pistashio Park (the old Swiss Twist location... yes, I am that old). Thematically, it would certainly fit better in Steampunk, but I don't really see them clearing a level space for it (that whole area is on a big slant), unless they put it way down by Scream, which would make it pretty darn remote.

Sad when you used to think this park used to have: Drunken Barrels (Crazy Barrel), Trabant (Circus Wheel), Jolly Monster (double armed octopus), Swiss Twist (Bayren Kurve), Z Force (looping starship), Enterprise, Condor, Tilt-a-Whirl (under various names and locations), Eagle's Flight (double track Skyway), Musik Express (The Flash), Dragon (transportation ride), Galaxy (double armed ferris wheel), Spin Out (rotor), and Tumble Drum (a long spinning tunnel you could walk through).

I'm not even counting El Bumpo (water bumper boats), the train around Spillikin Corners, the monorail, or the Magic Pagoda.

The one hope is that Cedar Fair definitely seems more flat-ride friendly, so there's some hope they will recoginize the clear inequity and send some over as the next major addition to the park. It really needs it, especially when you realize the majority of the flat rides they currently have are 40+ years old as it is.

Well Cedar Fair isn't doing the best job with adding flat rides to Knott's, although to be fair, Knott's might actually have more currently. Too lazy to count..

For the nostalgia factor, I'm gonna drop this cringe fest from my childhood:

Never did i ever believe I'd one day move to California & go to Magic Mountain. Also this was filmed a year or 2 before Viper. I watched this on vhs excessively :eyes::skull:

Knott's already has more. So they're not as in a desperate need.
