Yeah as soon as the budgets increased, the black walls at Hollywood basically vanished. Murdy is misblamed (and Hollywood's Chucky house blew Orlando's out the water)

In modern years one of the only exceptions have been the chucky house. I can definitely attest to that. But budget aside, i feel there is no excuse. Orlando has mastered transitional spaces. Every space in Orlando's house isn't jam packed with props and scareactors.

Anyway, I have faith in this project that there will be no intentional black walls/dead space.

yeah I don't understand how a company is gigantic as universal can't do proper stuff in Hollywood or why the budget is small.
obviously I know nothing about the behind the scenes stuff and I know nothing about the budgeting,
but I never understood why Orlando gets s better event when Hollywood has all the celebrity stuff and more famous stuff

I haven't really heard anyone mention that Egan Escapes is thriving in Vegas at a much lower price point. Now, they don't have a full cast like HHN and it's more like one scareactor that follows you around plus a different guide every other room, but their IT experience is VERY good with no breaks in theming and a few very impressive animatronics.

There's no reason to believe that Universal cannot run a haunt sustainably at the 100 dollar person price point, especially if they get the foot traffic from Meow Wolf, which is already going to be of a certain breed to accept the weird immersive experience bit.

Okay, what everyone wants to see from Vegas… the Unleashed update (Part 1). Exterior building appears painted and finished, with glass doors/windows in place. #haunt #horror #universal

Unleashed update, Part 2. Both ends of the lot are receiving some sort of paving on the ground. I figure bloated to the building will be parking, but the further corner has a lot of odd partitioning. Also added back of building, since not many post that. #haunt #horror #universal

My gut says an all-access pass which allows you to go in and walk through the houses as often as you want will run around $79-129 depending on date and season. If you don't want to do all the houses, you can do a single run in the first house for $30-50 (this includes admission to the entertainment zone) and then add on addtional houses for $15-25 each. Add some cash for an Express Pass.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that this is going to be a pulsed experience.

Any educated guesses as to when in 2025 the attraction in Las Vegas will open?

I missed this. SO. . . while they will feature 4 house, they may have space allotted for 5-6 so they can switch location of open spaces while they work on another? Thus always having 4 available!

Late August/Early September? I'd imagine they want it ready to launch for Spooky Season

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for responding so late.

I plan to be in Las Vegas this coming weekend. I'd like to visit the site and see if I can pick up anything. I'll let people here know if I hear anything in terms of a more specific opening timeframe.

I'll be in Vegas as well early next week, and am even going to Area 15, so I'll be posting updates as well.

I'm currently here in Las Vegas, and I stopped by Area 15 yesterday. It was my first time visiting the entertainment complex, and it took me a while to figure out where the Universal location was (on an adjacent lot, across the street from the current Area 15, and one block to the north).

Imagined there might be construction workers or a supervisor on site, but the Universal area is set aside and there was no work going on around 4-4:30 pm. The one person I asked at Meow Wolf knew where the site was but didn't know anything about the time frame of when it might open.

You can only see the main building from across the street, and it's hard to tell if the work inside is 10% done or 90%.

Still, it's hard to imagine based on the outside of the building that the Universal complex could open any earlier than the spring, and it could very well be the summer or fall.

Was in Vegas a few days ago (just a day after the above!), so my pics aren't too different... but as I was taking them, the lead foreman approached me, made conversation, and made a lot of claims.

That airplane rumor is the newest to me, but one person replied with these plans, and sure enough, there is a plane seen on pages 4 and 7: https://area15.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/area15-district-leasing-brochure.pdf

He also claimed it would be open around November of next year. That does basically miss the haunt season... maybe constructions delays? An intentional decision to "extend" the haunt season? Or is he just giving me a line? Any or a mix could be true, but I didn't know about the plane before hand, the plans do bear that out, so I think he was being honest in his current timeline.

He also said there would be an additional building that may hold other mazes, and that it wouldn't be directly connected... so it's possible not all the mazes will be going into the building that's currently up.

If it opens close to the end of the year...then I'll go when I'm going to the Fallout event near Vegas

If its summer, maybe I'll make a run to come out near opening

I also wonder if they will have a pass where you can go more then once
