It's like the Central Florida version of the Bermuda Triangle.

Once you enter the Wawa Trapezoid, you don't return*.

there is always the RaceTrack across the street, I cannot imagine what kind of business that Chick-fil-a is going to do.

That's all contained to the hotel building itself on the left side of the building where the path from the park leads to. Permits call for this area to be landscaping, but perhaps changes have been made to include a park exit(?). I'm sure @Alicia has some insight.

I'm predicting a fire pit and chill lounge seating.

Security is inside the building.

Correct, site plans just look like light landscaping.

Universal will probably wish they had City Walk South ready to go.

Holding space for Defying Gravity

Here's another suddenly cleared and leveled space. Any ideas what, or is it just a new grassy area going in?

I assume the cul-de-sac is for the TM shuttle drop off.

Just read the article below (not sure if it has been shared already) and liked the whole collaboration part of it. They actively work with others (being it ip's or hotel operator) to get the best product for as wide an audience as possible.
Looking at Disney they are in their own bubble and is run by what Disney fans like resulting in more of the same. I wouldn't suspect Monsters next to Potter next to ET or F&F if Universal would run their resorts or movie studios like that. Not saying one is better than the other just different. Universal GB is still spoken about so I can keep my hope up despite their incompetent political leaders who clearly look to not improve their economy.
Universal's global vision: sales strategy & partnerships power epic growth

What would be holding them back? In my mind, this would be the first attraction handed over, due to its relative simplicity and it has been testing for months now.

Has it still been testing? I just thought things quieted down after it was seen doing water dummy test. I could be way off base, but if testing did slow after that (around the time folks started saying it was the one attraction farthest behind schedule). I was just thinking maybe testing did not go so well.

To me, the good news would be they seem to have a solution if folks seem to know the time frame for turnover. As you say, a rollercoaster should be straightforward which could mean training/getting up to speed should be pretty doable whenever that get over whatever hurdle they currently face.

This is why every park should plan on having extended time to test new rides and break-in all the components. You will find problems.

These rides are custom creations, and no matter how good your engineer is, there will be something they didn’t consider that needs updated, after testing it in a real environment.

Many of the ride systems will have had at least one to up to two years of testing by the time the park opens.

Stardust starting testing early March of this year. That gave them a year and a couple months till opening for testing.

I’m sure that Universal has gone above and beyond the industry standards for testing their new rides. That’s exactly how you discover unexpected problems.

You can encounter problems you’ve never seen before because it’s a ride that never existed before.

I have no doubt that all the rides will be operational in time for opening day. They just might be limping through some problems for a while. I understand that’s it’s the nature of the industry, so I’ll try not to complain about capacity issues too much lol.

I saw Stardust visibly racing all through yesterday night from the Icon Park / Top Golf area. Really cool lighting set-up on those coaster cars!

Does Universal already use the operators and Maintenace personal to operate all these attractions?
