I’d be very surprised to see Monsters at 2 hours beyond opening day. It should have a fairly impressive capacity.

This is just a guess for wait times based on potential popularity and capacity.

Mine Kart Madness (2)
Bowser's Challenge (2)
Monsters Unchained (2)
Ministry of Magic (2)
Wing Gliders (1.5)
Untrainable (.75)
Le Cirque Arcanus (.75)
Burning Blade (.50)
Walking around exploring (.50)

(12)

Like others have said, I can't imagine these are actually accurate wait times but still a fun exercise!

On the topic of wait-times lol
1730210792784.png

This assumes ~41% of guests are actively participating in an attraction (queue or on ride) and 25K guests on an average day.

Donkey Kart is going to be this park's most difficult to experience with its rather low capacity. I'm interested in seeing how popular Dragon Racer's Rally becomes. It's a unique flat that hasn't made it ways into a major park yet, but it's low capacity will create busy waits from the start.

Where did this come from? Is it just based on the projected capacity of the rides?

yes + some other formulas to determine popularity (intensity impact, etc.)

DK is going to be the first attraction I try to hit after rope dropping. The capacity on that scares me a bit, and getting into SNW early might be a good idea in general in case the land hits capacity and they start handing out return tickets.

I'm expecting DK to unfortunately become this park's Seven Dwarfs, rope drop first (or leave to later in the evening) not because it's the best attraction in the park but because it's capacity is way below where it should be for it's popularity.

Of course, it being located in a land behind another land could reduce it's popularity. People still have a hard time finding Diagon after all.

That, and DK won’t have the “hawt new thing” shine to it that rides like Seven Dwarves do. I think an average guest would be more inclined to head straight to a headliner like Mario Kart or Battle at the Ministry first thing, but we’ll see. But yeah, DK looks like the ride you’ll have to plan your day most around in terms of waits.

I think DK is a headliner once those Inside the Magic like posts of a "coaster jumping the track" start to spread out to the general public.

Ministry is basically the only mystery re: theoretical hourly capacity, right? Everything else seems pretty conventional or straight forward.

BftM seems to have Tower of Terror type doors in the ride vehicles. That could be weird.

The Ministry ride vehicle is essentially just a SCOOP with a souped up motion base. It's a weird hybrid, with the vehicle of TOT, placed upon a minified version of a Star Tours motion base, placed upon a Spider-Man style SCOOP track. However, assuming the attraction works on opening day, I don't foresee capacity being a major issue given our current knowledge about the ride.

Donkey Kong is the true wild card in terms of capacity. Not because the capacity is low but because we don't know how low it will be.

I imagine the capacity for Monsters Unchained will be fairly good with the Kuka system. I assume it will be constantly moving like Forbidden Journey?

I’m more so imagining the boarding process. The existing SCOOPs just have you enter from the side, whereas it looks like Ministry’s has you enter through two doors in the front like Tower. Tower’s loading process is pretty slow.

I imagine Ministry will load much faster, but I do really wonder how the process will look like. Numbers? Rise-like colors?

Even if Ministry loads slower than Spider-Man, that's offset by the increased number of riders sent out in each dispatch. If I had to guess, they'll assign groups of riders to different rows, like pretty much every ride that has a tiered seating configuration.

Codeman made me remember something that Alicia posted like 2 years ago.
i remembered seeing that Monsters is going to use a circular table load/unload system, sort of like an updated version of a river-raft belt and table. the best way i could describe it is like looking at the circular table top-down like a clock where ride vehicles come back in at the 1 o'clock and can sit on the table and rotate around the circle for as long as they need to for guests to sit and load before dispatch at the 11 o'clock to start on the ride track. The idea being that the faster you load, the more the system benefits from shooting those individual vehicles out onto the track almost like your typical omnimover - which sounds great for capacity and keeping that line moving; And because the ride vehicles are independent of the track once they hit the table, they could essentially sit on there for as long as they need if someone is taking longer to load/unload(or in the situation of a handicap), and it doesn't effect anyone else on the ride.

Compared to the quick walkway of Forbidden Journey, it sounds like a major upgrade.
And imagining an ride experience that will almost never be interrupted by what's going on at the load/unload station is *chef's kiss*.

Ministry has dual load to help keep dispatches moving, alternating sending from each side one at a time.

So the vehicle can break off from the round table if it is ready to dispatch? I’m confused a bit.

i think the only thing i didn't explicitly mention that may explain it better was my comparison to the table and belt system of a river raft ride(think Popeyes at IoA), the implication that the platform is continuously moving and rotating. This makes it so the ride vehicles are docking into the circle as it rotates - this is what locks them in and allows them to sit on the table for as long as they need to for people to unload the previous group exiting the attraction and load a new group.

NOW - reread the presumed loading i mentioned - and hopefully that makes sense!

If not - skip to 4:10 here to see it and hear Alicia explain it:

(LOVE YOU, ALICIA - BIG FAN)

Yes, Monsters will have a rotary load platform like a flume or rapids ride. The patented the system a few years ago.
