Well, it seems like the past couple of days the ride has not been working very well. Finally visited today. The park is indeed epic. Managed to get a virtual queue, but the ride barely opened and shut down for the rest of the day. Hope I have better luck tomorrow.

Tomorrow is two weeks until the Grand Opening and it doesn’t feel like they’ve made any significant progress with this ride. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with much higher crowds.

If the individual seating sensors are causing so much trouble with people moving their feet or leaning over, they might have to alter those safety standards. I can't see guests 'not' moving their bodies or 'not' squirming' in their seats during a thrill ride. That's just not realistic.....Of course, that's 'if' that's the main issue with most ride shutdowns. Perhaps there's other issues.

It really does seem like an easy to fail safety system… due to crazy sensitivity.

I don't know how this went from having perfect back-to-back rides on Saturday night to... barely operational and soon closed altogether for a week.

I mean.. I see it. It is insanely intricate. I just hope they get it figured out soon because the park needs it to help disperse crowds (and I need everyone to experience its gloriousness).

Really sad how broken the VQ system is for this ride.

It really is a shame when you looked around the park at 11, everyone was just deflated tapping their phones, but I do think they only dropped return times between 3-4 as I was able to see a 3:10 and 3:45 option before disappearing, but not get a confirmation.

If Ministry is considered by some to be the equal of RotR....it's ironic that it's experiencing a similar rash of opening jitters.....breakdowns.

Their home is apartments so close to the park the app thinks they’re in the park.

The fact they didn’t even have to be logged in is a bit disappointing though.

That user is indeed fairly close to the park, but they noted in another tweet that they used an older Android phone to spoof their location, which is fairly easy to do iirc. I do remember seeing another post where someone couldn’t get VL from the Epic parking lot.

I’d like to see anyone else try to spoof the gps to get it, cause I’m not entirely sure that’s the method it’s using to verify you’re in the park.

And yes the parking lot is outside of the zone, but maybe not the other side?

I would do this for Hagrids from my house 5-6 miles away. If it isn’t tied to your ticket having entered the park there’s not a good way to limit it beyond GPS (like, you could require people to be on in-park Wi-Fi but that would create all new problems).

Virtual queue seems a very unsatisfactory system, why are they doing it this way? Is this the best method or should they do stand-by queue?

In 2018 I queued for 3 hours for Flight of Passage and didn't mind at all because I desperately wanted to go on it, and it was totally worth the wait, so I don't think people would mind queues that long? Especially as ministry apparently has a great queue. If they mind, they don't have to queue. Is it because the ride is unreliable right now and they don't want hours of people in the queue unhappy if it breaks down and they're unable to ride? I'd prefer to take that risk myself though, rather than have the power of choice taken away and not even have a chance.

While the system sucks, it’s the best thing to be VQ. It is so unreliable right now if they opened the standby it would be people waiting 3 hours and then never riding a thing.
